But actress Gillian Anderson treated herself to an evening off on Tuesday, enjoying a glamorous evening at the Beaufort hotel to celebrate the book, Dior, by Avedon.
Putting on a stylish display, the 47-year-old seemed to be in good spirits as she cosied up to her friends, model and author, Sophie Dahl and actress, Ruth Wilson.

Brushing her golden tresses back to reveal a pair of drop down orange earrings, the fashion-forward star looked effortlessly glamorous as she made her way into the dinner.

Hinting at her ample assets, the former model rocked a plunging neckline, whilst her sleeves fell at a flattering 3/4 length.
Adding yet more print to her colourful ensemble, the 38-year-old wore a pair of leopard print ankle boots.

Meanwhile, Gillian's revamped role in The X-Files has been the talk of the town, ahead of the two-night premiere on Fox this Sunday.
During the show's original run, Gillian played FBI agent Dana Scully - a skeptic with a medical degree - who worked alongside Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) - a firm believer in the supernatural as they attempted to solve mysteries and government cover-ups.
Now 14 years on from the final episode, both have left the force. Scully is a surgeon, while Mulder has turned into a social recluse.
