They are reportedly 'closer than ever' after a brief split in June.

And Gigi Hadid, 21, and Zayn Malik, 23, certainly looked content on Thursday as they took a trip out on a tandem kayak together in Tahiti.

The couple were the picture of togetherness as they soaked up the sun on the relaxing cruise, with Gigi showing off her stunning figure in a string bikini.

Zayn, rocked some orange shorts and puffed on a cigarette as he reclined behind his stunning girlfriend.

Earlier the British heartthrob was seen showing off his muscles in a pair of blue boxers before changing into the more appropriate beach wear.

At one point the couple strolled up the beach holding hands in an affectionate moment rarely seen in public between the two.

The model and the former One Direction member have been dating since November.

And they are reportedly 'back to normal' and 'closer than ever' after a brief split in June.

A source told E: 'They got through a rough patch that Zayn was facing personally and it started to put a dark cloud on their relationship. Gigi was there for him when he needed her the most and that brought them closer than ever.'

Shortly after the short breakup Zayn cancelled a performance at London's Capital Summertime Ball, saying he had 'suffered the worst anxiety of my career.'

Gigi stuck by the singer's side and showed her support with a Twitter post writing: 'Z - I've seen the battles you go through and the way you fight to get to a place that allows you to get up there for your fans,
