Here Chloë Moretz stands, soaked to the skin... her pretty prom dress drenched in pig's blood.
The 15-year-old actress if, of course, in full costume as the iconic cinematic character Carrie White - in the first official still from the hotly anticipated rebooted Carrie movie.
Holding her hands out in front of her, and staring wildly with mouth agape, Moretz captures the very essence of the troubled telekinetic teen.

This frame shows Carrie just after she was made high school prom queen in a cruel prank - with her bullying peers tipping two buckets of pig's blood over her from the stage-rigging above the ceremony.
Entertainment Weekly published the image on its website today, along with a first look at Julianne Moore in character as Carrie's fundamentalist and bible-thumping mother, Margaret.
Looking washed out, and with scraggly hair, Moore is seen in a white nightdress, clutching a knife with a crucifix around her neck.

The remake - based on the Stephen King novel - is set for release in March next year, with director Kimberly Peirce helming the modernised, more character-focused version.
The 1976 the original movie - directed by Brian De Palma - proved a career-defining role for Sissy Spacek, earning her an Oscar nomination the following year.
Piper Laurie played Moore's character in the first cinematic version of the horror tale.
In-demand teen Moretz has been started shooting the film in Toronto in June.
After The Descendants star Shailene Woodley turned down the role, Chloë beat Dakota Fanning, Emily Browning, Lily Collins, and others to the juicy part.

'I'm actually building my own dress and kind of going really deep into it, and I've never gone so deep into a role before,' Chloë told ETOnline recently, adding: 'Yeah, it's cool, it's a lot of work. Fun, but a lot of work.'

The Hugo actress also told Vanity Fair that she would be entirely changing her hair and her look.

'I’m doing my own take on [the character]. The script is totally different from the [original]. It’s more like the book. It’s a more Black Swan version - it messes with your mind. You’ll see things, and you don’t know if you’ve seen them,' Chloë told the mag.

In 2002, NBC aired a televised version of Carrie with Girl, Interrupted star Angela Bettis in the title role.
