Ex-Corrie star Helen Flanagan shows off new blonde locks on Twitter

Free to dye whatever colour she wants: Ex-Corrie star Helen Flanagan shows off new blonde locks on Twitter

She was famously ordered by Coronation Street bosses to dye her hair back to brunette last year after she had it coloured peroxide blonde.
But now free from her soap contract, it appears Helen Flanagan is revelling in the freedom to do whatever she likes with her hair.
The actress, who turned 22 yesterday, showed off her new long blonde locks in a series of photos on her Twitter page.

Helen revealed she had gone blonde last week because she wanted a 'fresh' look for her birthday.
Uploading a series of photos of her new hair on Twitter, she said: 'I look exactly like my little sister @jnflanagan :) x My dads blonde, aunties, cousins... I love it #feelflanagan.
'Wanted a fresh for my 22nd bday coming up... Had it done at Daniel Hersheson by the amazing @DemetriouVicky.'

But after a few days of being blonde, it appears Helen was worrying about looking after her hair.
She tweeted: 'Really want to go for a swim but I've heard it ruins your hair when your blonde? Tips anyone?
'So I shall invest in products... Keep my head above the pool... But no (sic) I'd rather be seen dead then in a swim cap hahahahaahgaa.'
Helen's choice to become blonde comes after she previously dyed her hair platinum and cut it into a short crop in April 2011.

As she was on a three-month break from the soap, she fancied a change.
However, soap bosses were unimpressed and didn't believe her vacuous character Rosie would do such a thing so she was ordered to dye her hair back to brunette and added extensions.
Since leaving Corrie in February after 12 years as Rosie Webster, Helen is now a WAG living in Wales with Swansea City and Team GB footballer Scott Sinclair.
The couple spent her 22nd birthday together at Langland Bay in Mumbles, Wales.

It appears the soap star spend a lot of her birthday posting photos of her presents and cards and re-tweeting birthday wishes from her followers and former Corrie co-stars.
Among those she thanked for their birthday tweets were Corrie stars Samia Ghadie, Jennie McAlpine, Georgia Foote, Brooke Vincent, Catherine Tyldesley, Vicky Entwistle and Ryan Thomas.
From boyfriend Scott Sinclair, who was knocked out of the football Olympics over the weekend, she received a blue ring.

On Saturday, she complained about the lack of parking around the Millennium Stadium, where Team GB lost to South Korea in the quarter-final.
Over 70,000 people attended the game, with spectators complaining of traffic chaos on the day.
She tweeted: 'Just come back all the way from Cardiff as I could find no where on earth to park and did not have a clue were the stadium was :/.
'What an idiot to think if be able to do it easy
'The security is everywhere its the Olympics it's hard to park.'
