It's not a foxtrot, the Charleston and it certainly isn’t a waltz. No, this is a striptease and – to the embarrassment of BBC bosses – it is being performed by Strictly Come Dancing contender Abbey Clancy.
The raunchy two-minute clip, which appears on YouTube, couldn’t be further removed from the wholesome family entertainment that executives of the show are keen to promote.
It opens with a close-up of Abbey’s chest as she peels back a transparent chiffon cape to reveal a lilac bra. The TV presenter and model, 27, wearing denim hot-pants and a pink Santa hat, turns and shimmies away to the Ronettes’ I Saw Mummy Kissing Santa Claus.

The film, titled Abbey Clancy Advent and shot for fashion magazine Love last December, has attracted 80,000 views on YouTube.

It showed her wearing just a black thong and high heels. Abbey is one of 15 celebrities taking part in this season’s Strictly, which began last weekend.
Other names in the line-up include Countdown host Rachel Riley, 27, former Bond girl Fiona Fullerton, 56, and former England rugby international Ben Cohen.
Last Saturday, a record 9.5 million viewers tuned in.
Liverpool-born Abbey first appeared on TV in Britain’s Next Top Model in 2006 but rose to prominence as the girlfriend of 6ft 7in Premier League footballer Peter Crouch.
The couple married in June 2011, three months after the arrival of their first child, daughter Sophia Ruby.
Since then Abbey has carved out a media career in reality TV shows including ITV’s Hell’s Kitchen and E4’s Great British Hairdresser, as well as presenting a regular fashion slot on ITV daytime show This Morning.
