Strictly Come Dancing: Abbey Clancy tops leaderboard with 'dance of the night' achieving straight eights from the judges

She may have been the last to perform but that certainly didn't go against Abbey Clancy as she went straight to the top of the scoreboard on the second night of Strictly Come Dancing.
The television presenter, who admitted she felt like a 'sack of spuds' during rehearsals, wowed the four judges as she and partner Aljaž Skorjanec took to the dancefloor.
The pair's romantic waltz to Kissing You by Des'ree was declared as the dance of the night by Len Goodman.
Bruno Tonioli said the star's movement was wonderful and that the pair had great chemistry.
Craig Revel Horwood added that he had a good feeling about the couple, before praising them for their 'gorgeous' routine.

However he appeared to have overcome the problem, with Len Goodman describing his footwork as terrific.
Bruno Tonioli added that he was a little stiff, but thought he was full of 'promise'. The pair achieved a score of 19.

The second couple to try their hand at the tango was Fiona Fullerton and Anton du Beke, to the tune of Duran Duran’s View To A Kill.
The actress looked stunning in a floor-length red gown as the pair performed a romantic James Bond themed routine.
Bruno said the 56-year-old played the role very well but got her feet into a muddle, leaving her professional dancer to direct her.
Crag Revel Horwood said he was happy to see Anton dancing for a change after a string of challenging partners, while Len praised the pair for the complicated routine.
They scored an impressive 24.

There was no missing Dave Myers and Karen Hauer in their bright white outfits as they took on the cha-cha to hit single Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5.
The Hairy Biker, who admitted he loved his smart Strictly makeover but was terrified ahead of his first dance,  left Craig looking very down in the mouth.
He said the dance was 'terrifying' before awarding the pair the first and only two of the night.
However the 55-year-old left Darcey Bussell with a smile of her face, as she said she was strangely in love with the chef.
Len added that Dave, who achieved a result of 16 from the judges, danced how he cooked by chucking it all in and hoping for the best.

The 27-year-old, who said her maths skills, which she regularly showcases on Countdown, were not helping her to count the steps, added that the show was an 'opportunity of a lifetime'.
Len Goodman said their 'dance was very pretty', while Bruno spotted the star's nerves and asked her to try and go with the flow next week.
The pair, who were awarded a score of 27, did manage to impress hard-to-please Craig.

The pair tried their hand at the cha-cha to Madonna’s very apt hit for the fashion designer, Vogue.
The 42-year-old shouted 'I did it' after completing the routine, but Len said it was more Women's Weekly then the high-fashion magazine.
Craig said Madonna had nothing to worry about as Julian was 'hideously flat footed' but the pair achieved 20 points, placing them several places above the bottom of the leaderboard.

Wearing a beautiful emerald dress, the 54-year-old took to the floor alongside partner Robin Windsor as they danced to Abba’s Money Money Money.
Bruno said the first part of the routine was good, but the star got lost a little in the middle.
While Craig added that she was 'lagging behind' Robin, but added that he was surprised by her first night performance which they were given a score of 24 for.

Vanessa Feltz's first routine with James Jordan, who left female viewers swooning after unbuttoning his shirt, performed the cha-cha to Shania Twain’s That Don't Impress Me Much.
The 51-year-old radio DJ, who wore bright pink on the night, was criticised for not being lively enough by Darcey.
Len said it was a bit cool, calm and collected, but added that Vanessa was in time with her partner and no steps were missed.
After being criticised by Craig, the presenter joked that after being crammed into a girdle she was finding it hard to perform.
They scored 19 points from the judges.
