Most newly engaged girls can’t wait to show off their sparkly new ring but Michelle Keegan has had to wait for that special moment.The Coronation Street actress confirmed her engagement to ex TOWIE star Mark Wright this week, following a romantic beach proposal in Dubai.The brunette beauty stepped out for her first public event on Thursday since being surprised by the sparkler from Mark. She was forced to miss the TV Choice Awards on Monday, where she won Best Soap Actress, after being tied up with filming commitments in Manchester.

Michelle was the star guest at the unveiling of the new Sally Store on New Oxford Street, London where she opened the beauty emporium.

The 26-year-old showed off her holiday tan in a simple but chic outfit of jacquard print cigarette trousers and a crisp over-sized white t-shirt.

The stunning actress left her glossy brunette locks loose and made sure her make-up was perfect for the beauty store launch.

Michelle finished her ensemble off with a pair of grey ankle-strap court shoes and a chunky gold chain around her neck.

One very important piece of jewellery was missing though, as Michelle revealed this week that her new engagement ring is being resized.

Michelle shared her missing ring woe with her Twitter followers this week:

‘Cant wait 2get my ring back nxt week after its been adjusted,so many people askin 2 see it,n I have 2 show them a bare hand! #skinnyfingers,’ she wrote on Tuesday.

And when one of her friends joked that she was going to steal it from her, Michelle promptly replied: ‘phahahahahaha!!!!! It’s gonna be that tight it won’t move! Xx.’

According to reports, Mark went all out with his ring choice, opting for a stunning five-carat diamond for his girl, which Michelle is no doubt hoping to show off very soon.

Mark is said to have decided to pop the question to Michelle in Dubai because the holiday destination holds special memories for the celebrity couple.

The pair first got together at a New Year's Eve party there last December, and have rarely been seen apart since.
