Her Downton Abbey wardrobe is far less than glamorous, rather more simple and dowdy.

But British actress Joanne Froggatt – who plays loyal Lady's maid Anna Bates in the popular period drama - looked a world away from her alter ego as she arrived at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Tea Party 2015 Awards gala, ahead of Sunday’s Golden Globes.

She was joined by her on-screen counterparts Laura Carmichael and Allen Leech, as well as the show’s creator Julian Fellowes at the exclusive star-studded event in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday.

Dressed in a striking off-white playsuit, complete with retro-inspired detailing and full length sleeves, the 34-year-old beauty looked effortlessly chic.

The short hemline showed off her toned legs in all its glory as she stood tall in an envy-inducing pair of strappy nude heels.

Joanne - who has been nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Supporting Actress category - wore her blonde hair loose and party tied, which framed her pretty face perfectly.

The 28-year-old star added some height to the proceedings with a classy set of matching stilettos, while keeping her accessorises to a bare minimum with designer handbag.

Allen – who has been nominated in two cast categories for his role as Tom Branson in the ITV series and for starring in wartime movie The Imitation Game for the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards – cut a stylish figure in a sharp two-piece suit, which he teamed with a crisp white shirt and black tie.

Having made a significant splash in the modelling arena, Cara has been slowly raising her star power in film.

The blonde bombshell's debut film role was a minor part in the 2012 film adaptation of Anna Karenina.

Since then, she has beefed up her film credits with five movies expected to release later this year.

Inside the BAFTA Tea Party were a slew of UK stars including Theory Of Everything's Felicity Jones and Gone Girl's Rosamund Pike, both who are nominated for Best Actress at the Golden Globe Awards this Sunday.

Ahead of the Globes festivities, actors Jamie Dornan, Keira Knightley, Kit Harington and Alfred Enoch were in attendance.

Also Patricia Arquette, Gina Rodriguez, Marion Cotillard, Miles Teller, Sarah Hyland, Steve Carrell, Anna Kendrick and Boyhood director Richard Linklater were invited to the soiree.
