January Jones goes topless as she explores role play and transformation in sizzling new photoshoot

January Jones goes topless as she explores role play and transformation in sizzling new photoshoot

She’s stealing herself for one last hurrah as bored housewife Betty Draper in Mad Men, but January Jones is a mere shadow of her screen character in a sizzling new photo-shoot.
The 37-year-old actress models six different hairstyles, five outfits and, in one tasteful black and white shot, goes completely naked on behalf of Los Angeles based luxury content and beauty brand Violet Grey’s The Violet Files.
A first shot captures January topless, her exposed breasts only partially hidden beneath her long, tousled and naturally parted hair.

In a second she plays a willowy femme fatale, her blonde locks tied in a loose bun as she throws a seductive gaze off camera.
A plunging red evening dress with floral embellishments and a dramatically cinched waistline accentuated her slender physique.
In one of two headshots the actress adopts a thoughtful pose, her chin propped on one hand as she stares out at the reader, a messy fringe covering one side of her face and offering her lime green embellished ensemble an edgy flourish.

In a further close-up January appears to channel tragic Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe, her cropped blonde bob gently teased by the actress as she cups her face in both hands.

A white shirt, open at the collar, enhances the look, while her hair – slicked to the side and maintained with a crisp side-parting – reinforces the most masculine of her six new looks.

The new series plays on role play and transformation, concepts the actress is all too familiar with thanks to her career changing role in sixties based period drama Mad Men.
Talking to The Violet Files, January admitted she’s pleased with the way the series, which launches the second part of its seventh and final season on April 5, comes to an end.

‘I was surprised, but the show has always surprised me,’ she said. ‘Each episode is so good and sort of ties up things—not in a perfect bow, obviously—but I think the audience will be happy.’
Referring to her latest photo shoot, January said the images gave depth and resonance to female identity.
‘We wanted to do an elevated take on before-and-after photos and explore the idea that A LOT of women, myself included, feel less vulnerable once they’re dressed and have their make up on,’ she said.
Having radically transformed for each shot, January admitted the transformation prompted her to think about her own transition during adolescence.
‘I was at my most confident as a kid,’ she reflected. ‘It actually wasn’t until I got into high school and started to get ‘pretty' that my confidence started to disappear.
‘So I want to give the message that girls can be proud and self-assured no matter what funky haircut they have.’

'It's the very definition of bittersweet': Kiernan Shipka opens up about filming the final episodes of Mad Men

'It's the very definition of bittersweet': Kiernan Shipka opens up about filming the final episodes of Mad Men

Kiernan Shipka has opened up about the 'bittersweet' feeling of filming the final episodes of Mad Men, which is set to wrap up in 2015.
The 14-year-old actress, who was just six when the series began, told Scene magazine: 'I can't quite put into words how odd it feels to be ending.'
She added: 'But at the same time I saw this quote that said, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened," and I'm trying to apply that as much as I can.'
End of an era: Kiernan Shipka, 14, has opened up to Scene magazine about the 'bittersweet' feeling of filming the final episodes of Mad Men, which is set to wrap up in 2015

Kiernan poses in a series of sophisticated looks within the magazine, from an intricately-embroidered Valentino dress and crystal chandelier earrings to a black lace Louis Vuitton ensemble.
And when it comes to her own fashion sense, the starlet - who cites Gracy Kelly as a style icon - says she has a lot in common with her character Sally Draper.
'I totally owe my love of fashion to Mad Men,' she said. 'I got very inspired by the clothes that costume designer Janie [Bryant] put together.'
'Mad Men in and of itself has been an acting school for me'
In most other respects, however, she and Sally couldn't be more different. '[Sally] comes from divorced parents and she's had a lot of drama happen,' says Kiernan.
'I don't come from a broken home... but I think she's amazing and handles her life really well, better than I would.'
Despite their obvious differences, it doesn't stop fans from approaching the actress and addressing her as her fictional character.
Fashion forward: When it comes to her own fashion sense, Kiernan - who cites Gracy Kelly as a style icon - says she owes a lot to Mad Men and the show's 'inspiring' costume designer Janie Bryant

'People come up to me and talk about how awful my parents are,' she revealed, adding: 'I think it's cool to play someone people relate to and love so much that they think you really are that great.'
Her acting skills are especially impressive considering Kiernan never had any formal training.
Instead, when her parents moved with her to Los Angeles so she could begin filming Mad Men, producer Matthew Weiner advised her to stay out of acting school.
'Mad Men in and of itself has been an acting school for me,' she said.

While many child actors succumb to sad fates due to growing up too fast, Kiernan seems to have remained refreshingly grounded.
'I think it's cool to play someone people love so much that they think you really are that great'
She lists mint chocolate chip as her favorite ice cream flavor, Prince Harry as her celebrity crush and watching TV shows like Veep and Arrested Development as some of her favorite pastimes.
And she's quick to remind people that in spite of her mature attitude and grown-up fashion tastes, she's still just a regular teen.
'If you see me with my friends, I'm definitely 14,' she insists, conceding: 'Maybe 15.'

Mad Men's Jessica Pare shows off her sculpted physique as she skinny dips for Esquire magazine

Mad Men's Jessica Pare shows off her sculpted physique as she skinny dips for Esquire magazine

She plays Mrs Don Draper in AMC's Mad Men but Jessica Pare looked a world away from her onscreen character in a new shoot for Esquire magazine.
Stripping off, the 33-year-old was brave enough to go skinny dipping in a crystal blue pool leaving the world of the Sixties advertising firm behind her.
Leaving little to the imagination, the fair-skinned beauty can be seen waist-deep in the water, coyly looking over her shoulder while covering her naked breasts with one arm.

Having a ball, the Mad Men star laughed as she waded her way to the edge of the pool.
After drying off, the Canadian star dressed herself in lacy pastel pink undergarments, revealing her toned tummy.

With tie-dyed green cardigan falling off her shoulders, Jessica is seen snacking on bread and peanut butter.
Another shot captured the actress close-up, touching her face with her eyes closed.
For the final pictures, Jessica donned a low-cut, retro-inspired swimsuit that's printed with tiny bows.

Her hair was styled in a voluminous 'do as she sported eclectic pointed-toe pumps.
On Mad Men, Jessica can be seen in the role of Megan Draper/Megan Calvet, a role the Canadian was surprised to have gotten after having issues getting a green card.
'I really struggled,' she told the publication, adding 'what was supposed to take three months took nine. I couldn't work or travel, and any momentum that I had gained from [TV show] Jack & Bobby just dissipated.'
'I was ready to move back to my parents' place, ready to get a job at my friend's bar back home and just pack it in,' the star said before auditioning to be a secretary on Mad Men.
'I had nothing left to lose. I went into the audition thinking, This is it. If you don't like it, that's fine. Nobody else has.'

She's a Betty! January Jones stuns in a blue, black and white cocktail dress at Mad Men party

The actress wore a black and white, zig-zag cocktail dress which definitely could make a few onlookers eyes go funny if they stared at it too long.
With accents of blue thrown into the design, January had left her character's sixties style behind.

But the aforementioned shade also brought out the colour of her eyes, enhance with some blue eyeliner and glowing cheeks.
The actress also swept her short blonde bob into a side parting which gave her style add volume and va va voom.

No. 5: The actress showed off her numerical tattoo which stood out in red on her left ankle
But at the night of the night as she made her way back to her car, January threw on an edgy biker jacket to keep her warm in the cooler autumn air.
And as she walked down towards the waiting SUV, the actress's ankle tattoo was clearly visible on the back of her leg.
The red inking was of the number five, which she first revealed back in 2012 at the Art of Elysium 5th Annual Gala event.

John Hamm was in attendance with his wife, the actress and director Jessica Westfeldt, however he wasn't as clean and shaven as his Mad Men alter-ego.
The actor, who plays Don Draper on the hit show, had a full beard, speckled with grey, which gave him a rugged, yet distinguished edge.
Inspired by the show they star in, Jessica Paré and Abigail Spencer wore vintage-looking strapless gowns in black tulle and floral crepe.

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Times reported that the finale will be broken up into two parts. The first half of the season, titled, The Beginning, will air in spring 2014. The second, The End Of An Era, will air in spring 2015.
'This approach has worked well for many programs across multiple networks, and, most recently for us with 'Breaking Bad,' which attracted nearly double the number of viewers to it's second-half premiere than had watched any previous episode,' said AMC President Charlie Collier.
