Rumours surface that Helen Flanagan will be heading to Strictly later this year

Ready for the cha-cha? Rumours surface that Helen Flanagan will be heading to Strictly later this year

She is no stranger to reality television having appeared I'm A Celebrity.... Get Me Out Of Here at the end of last year.
But now 22-year-old Helen Flanagan could be swapping bush tucker trials for the ballroom as sources have reported she is soon to sign up to appear on Strictly Come Dancing.
The former Coronation Street babe had turned down the chance to appear on the show last year, but is apparently being offered the post again.

'I would like to learn a new skill, so Strictly Come Dancing would be good - but I can't dance at all,' she is quoted as saying in the Sunday Mirror.

'Oh, and there's no way I could be in Dancing On Ice. It would be far too terrifying,' she added.
A friend of the star is also quoted as saying: 'She is very excited at the prospect of joining Strictly and hopes it can happen. She is a fan of the show and would love to take part.'

The successful BBC dance show is due to make a return in the Autumn for an 11th series.
Last year was won by Olympic athlete Louis Smith who made it to victory with the help of his dance partner Flavia Cacace.
The show has proved a rating success even when placed against ITV show, The X Factor - with Strictly host Bruce Forsyth this year keen to win the ratings battle.

The ball gowns and dance routines of the BBC 1 show would be a far cry from the basic living Helen endured out in the jungle at the end of last year during I'm A Celeb...
However her stint in the Australian bush did help win Helen a legion of new fans as she spent a lot of time in a bikini while on the show - and unsurprisingly scored highly in the annual FHM Sexiest Women of the Year issue last month.
She was also baring all in recent weeks as part of a campaign for animal rights group, PETA.

The actress attended an unveiling of the new campaign imagery on Tuesday at a launch in Covent Garden.
She appeared taken aback by the shot, looking at it nervously as she posed up for photographers.

Next to Helen is a reference to her time on I'm A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here!, with the slogan 'Exotic Skins Belong In The Jungle'.

Speaking about her decision to star in the campaign, Helen said: 'Spring is the perfect time to clean the cruelty from our closets.

'I know when people see PETA's video, they won't want anything to do with the exotic-skins industry and will join me in leaving wildlife out of their wardrobes.'
