Operatic duo Richard and Adam are first winners of Britain's Got Talent live semifinal... joined by Arisxandra after Simon Cowell takes his decision to the public vote

It was a nerve-wracking results show during the first Britain's Got Talent live semifinal.
While operatic brother duo Richard and Adam were the outright winners of Monday night's programme after gaining the most votes, the panel couldn't decide on the second person to put through.
Taking it to the public vote after Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell chose to save Youth Creation and David Walliams and Amanda Holden chose Arisxandra Libantino, it was the 11-year-old who finally became the second act to be put through to the finals.

In an unsurprising outcome, the much-loved brothers received the most votes, while it was announced that previously popular acts including impressionist Phillip Green and Aaron Crowe were going straight home.
The two acts with the second and third highest votes were then put to the judges, who had the chance to vote for the favourite.
But when it came to Simon's turn to pick an act, he told Ant and Dec that he would be taking it to the public vote in a bid to make it as fair as possible.

'I just knew this was going to happen - can't we put them both through? Can't I change the rules?,' he said, clearly unhappy with the decision he had to make.
'You're both winners, both of you. I actually can't make my mind up... I'm going to take it to the public vote by saying Youth Creation,' he added.
The Geordie duo read out the results and it was the 11-year-old singing sensation who had come out on top, meaning that she'll join Richard and Adam at the live final.

In the first of the live semifinals this week, eight acts took to the stage in a bid to keep their place and be put though to the live final a week on Saturday.
The first semi finalist was 57-year-old Martin Healy who brought back his unique act, singing and dancing dressed as a vicar.

The music then changed to disco, as he unveiled his blue sequinned suit, dancing to a series of 1980s hits as the judges giggled.
'I think we should stop the show right now, we have found the winner of Britain's Got Talent,' joked David.
'As a piece of entertainment, taking you out, it was quite good,' admitted Simon. 'But at the end of the day, it is you with a dummy. It's not going to win but it's a fun way to start the show. It's not a proper act.'
The next act to perform for the four judges was Band Of Voices, a group of professional backing singers who blew everyone at their first audition.

Twist on a classic: The backing singers took on Britney's Baby One More Time, which was a risk that paid off
But the line-up had slightly changed as original member Kelly had dropped out, to be replaced with newbie Louise.
Singing their original version of Britney Spears' Hit Me Baby One More Time, the fivesome put their own spin on the pop classic, impressing Simon.
'I never thought a Britney Spears song would sound haunting - but it did. The blend of voices was fantastic - well done guys,' said David.
'Individually all of you guys are strong, collectively you are serious business,' said Alesha, clearly blown away by the vocal talent.
I've got to be honest when it started I thought it was too risky, then once the track kicked in I thought it was good. It was a risk worth taking,' said a hard to please Simon.

Youth Creation was up next, made up off 33 youngsters aged from eight-14 years old from Essex, who were over-the-moon when they were put through at the first audition.
Dressed in multi-coloured clothes, the dance troupe started out by performing to Spice Girls Wannabe followed by Cher Lloyd.
They then donned dark glasses to dance to Gangnam Style, while incorporating a few TOWIE catchphrases into the routine.
And the energetic youngsters seemed to get the judges giggling along, seeming completely absorbed in the routine.
'Just before the show started I saw you in the canteen stuffing you faces with burger and chips. That was fantastic - so much energy,' said David.
'I have to agree with David, you're all trying 100% - the energy and commitment is so contagious. You did Essex proud,' said Alesha.

Chemistry: The brothers kept being reminded it that it was natural chemistry that was so impressive
I didn't like it...I loved it,' said Simon, 'Without question, in terms of preparation and fun, the best act of the night so far.'
Twin act J-Unity, from London, took to the stage in a bid to win over the judges, singing Olly Murs hit Troublemaker.
'There's such a special chemistry between the two of you,' said David. 'They're twins,' injected Simon.
'I think you guys are really unique.The chemistry naturally is going to be amazing, I think you're raw talent,' said Alesha.
'It is really relaxing watching you. This is a huge night for you tonight. This competition could change your lives together,' chipped in Amanda.
'I've got to be honest, you didn't pop for me when I watched the auditions back. But tonight you did, you came over as credible recording artist,' admitted Simon.
Mixed comments: Drag act Bosom Buddies failed to light Simon's fire, although the other judges loved them
Crowd pleaser: While the friends seemed to impress the audience, Simon wasn't too keen
But one of the music mogul's least favourite acts was up next, Bosom Buddies, made up of drag stars Mark and Stuart.
Dressed in pink dresses, the pair sang operatic number Time To Say Goodbye, prompting Simon to press his buzzer almost immediately.
Raising up into the air, the friends sat on floral swings as they sang, with rose petals falling all around them
'Yes well it sort of defies categorisation, because of the way you dress you would think that it would be funny but it's not because you sing so well, said David.
'It was lovely - I felt like I was at a wedding, added Alesha. 'Regardless of what anyone thinks of you, you can sing.'

But Simon wasn't feeling it: 'Look, I get why David liked it, but in the real world this is just too mad. Victoria, Geri - I think you've had your moment, I just can't take this seriously.'
The pair hit back, saying: 'It's interesting your comment, Simon- because what we do is very real and we do it to very people.'
Impressionist Phillip Green was the next contestant, and the judges had high hopes after he blew them away at the first audition.
Starting by doing an impression of Lorraine Kelly in a video, he then came onto the stage as Natalie Cassidy, talking about her diet regime.
He then did an impression of Alesha from her Mystique days, followed by Louis Spence, emulating his dance moves with a number of backing dancers who came onto the stage.

'Well you're very bendy. It was fantastic and your personality shone through. Well done tonight.' said David.
'You are so adorable,' said Alesha. 'I thought you put it together very well - you're going to have a career whatever happens.'
'You know, it's very difficult Phillip - there were moments that were fantastic. I prefer it when you're more loose rather than when it's scripted. when you've got the constraint it kind of doesn't work,' said Amanda.
'You're naturally funny and likable, but you're like a dog who needs training. I kind of agree with Amanda. I think the script needed to be better, funnier. In summary, it was a good act, but not as good as the first audition,' said a slightly less impressed Simon.
Young Arisxandra, 11, was next up, having won over the hearts of the audience and judges at her first audition.
Wearing a pink dress, the youngster belted out a Celine Dion track which had the audience on their feet.
Simon said: ‘I think it was one of the best performances of the night and I'd like to dedicate this one to Bruce.'

Aaron Crowe, who couldn't even speak during the first audition, took to the stage for his performance.
The extreme stunt performer, who used Ant in the audition was joined by Dec who handed him one of Amanda's rings.
He asked Dec to sit on a chair with an apple with the ring inside on his head, before shooting it off with a crossbow.
Luckily for the scared-looking presenter, he got was spot on and managed to get Amanda's ring back in the process.
'I think it's so brave of you to out other people's lives in terrible danger,' said David. 'If you get through I'd like you to put Simon in terrible danger.'

'You are like an international man of mystery. You have an aura and a sex appeal and I'd love to see you in the final.' said smitten Amanda.
'It was good, again not as good as the first audition,' kind of wanted you to go three or four inches below - it's have been better for he ratings,' said a cynical Simon.
Richard and Adam were the last to perform on the first live semi-final, taking on There's A Place For Us.
'You made a huge impression on your audition and an even bigger one tonight,' said David.
'It makes me patriotic and proud to be British. I know that families in lounges across the country will be in tears around now,' said Amanda.
'Some acts were better on the auditions, but you were the opposite - you absolutely blew it away tonight,' said Simon. 'That was a brilliant choice of song.'
