Gemma is currently entertaining theatre goers as feisty factory worker Rita O’Grady in a stage adaptation of 2010 film Made In Dagenham – a dramatization of the Ford machinists strike of 1968.
She appears in new comedy The Voices alongside Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds, Anna Kendrick and Jacki Weaver.
The film is billed as a comedy thriller from TV writer Michael R. Perry and stars Reynolds in the central role of a man who is guided by his evil talking cat and benevolent talking dog.
'One of the reasons I wanted to do the movie was because it's so surreal and original, and unlike anything I've ever read' said Arterton.

‘There is a humor to this film all the way through, even in the most ghastly moment. I real credit to Michael, who wrote the script and found a subtle way to balance the horror and the humor without it being slapstick in any way.'
Her personal life is also thriving thanks to a blossoming romance with French assistant director Franklin Ohanessian – who she met following her divorce from Italian fashion consultant Stefano Catelli in 2013.
Gemma confirmed her romance to Daily Mail columnist Sebastian Shakespeare last year, saying: ‘Franklin doesn’t like or really want to be in the limelight, but yes, we are together.'
‘We met when I was filming The Voices and hit it off. We speak in French and I regularly commute to Paris to be with him.’
The Voices is released in cinemas by Arrow Films on March 20.
Striking: Gemma appeared at BBC Radio studios on Thursday morning ahead of a chat with drivetime DJ Greg James
Finishing touches: Gemma added to a rather neutral theme with an edgy cropped leather jacket, with strappy heeled shoes rounded things off
