'I stayed in £2 a night huts to regain my sanity': Lily James smoulders in an edgy high-fashion shoot as she discusses adjusting to fame

She's played the role of Lady Rose MacClare in period drama Downton Abbey for the last three years.
But Lily James has admitted she's just started being recognised as a screen star in a brand-new interview.
The talented English actress smouldered as she posed for Net-a-Porter's weekly online fashion magazine, The Edit, and discussed the trials and tribulations of adjusting to life in the limelight as a young woman in an accompanying interview.

Lily - who played Cinderella in the recent screen adaptation of the much-loved fairytale - admitted she was in dire need a reality check after returning from the film's global promotional tour that she carted herself off to Southeast Asia on a backpacking trip with a friend where they were forced to rough it up.
'I ended up backpacking with a friend in Southeast Asia, staying in huts that were £2 a night, to regain my sanity…,' she admitted.
Lily may share more with the average 26-year-old than meets the eye as it's only recently that she's moved out of her mold-infested flat in Peckham, South London, and into more comfortable confines.
Reality check: In an accompanying interview, Lily, 26, said she was forced to take herself off backpacking to Southeast Asia where she stayed in £2-a-night huts, following the global Cinderalla promotional tour

Out now: The Downton Abbey actress discusses the trials and tribulations of life in the spotlight in the new edition of The EDIT
Reflecting on life in the spotlight as a twenty-something woman, she added: 'As a younger actress, there’s a tendency to prove oneself, to go, ‘Watch! I can do this!’ But it’s about having the emotional intelligence to know what is necessary, to only do what is needed. I’m just obsessed with how and why actors are good. I’m still young enough to be enchanted and fascinated by it all.'
With filming for the sixth and final Downton series done and dusted, Lily is preparing for the release of two highly-anticipated films - Burnt (released on October 23) and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
In the former, she stars alongside Dominic Cooper and Sienna Miller in a part which she described as 'a glorified extra'.
'It was great to get even the tiniest moments with Bradley Cooper, whom I’ve watched and admired for so long,' she gushed.
Lily - who is dating former Doctor Who star Matt Smith - has also bagged the leading role as Elizabeth Bennet in a parody of the Jane Austen classic which is scheduled for release next year and also stars Matt as Mr. Collins.
