She recently revealed despite ending their six year relationship last year they remain close.
And true to those claims, when Dev Patel, 25, and Freida Pinto, 30, united for a worthy cause at a charity dinner in Los Angeles, on Saturday, it appeared that the stars still had a great deal of affection for one another.
Stepping out on stage at the Pratham USA Los Angeles chapter's 20th Anniversary dinner, in Hollywood, the movie stars stayed close to each other as they gave a rousing joint speech.

The former couple, who met on the set of Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire, exchanged smiles and embraced one another throughout their time on stage.
Dev - who first shot to fame as Anwar in the award-winning teen drama Skins - looked on with a delighted smile on his face as Freida gave an impassioned speech.
Stepping close to his ex at one point, the London-born actor placed a tender arm the glamorous Indian model and actress' shoulders while they applauded the charity for its work in India.

Putting on an elegant and sophisticated sartorial display for the event, Frieda - who achieved global fame and acclaim in Slumdog Millionaire - looked every inch the glamorous star.
Donning a pink belted gown, the stunning actress achieved an understated yet highly fashionable look in the fitted garment.

The former couple attended the event as Pratham's mission of ending the cycle of poverty by improving the education and literacy rates of children in India is very close to both of their hearts - and was also highlighted by Boyle's film.
And while other star's might have found it awkward sharing the stage with an ex, Dev and Freida faced no such problem as they have remained close since splitting in December 2014.
Talking to USA Today in April about their break-up and post-split bond, Freida said: 'Everybody has their own little discoveries to make. Their own surprises, their own disappointments, and they’re all part and parcel of life.
'There is no way one person can sit down and go, "But why did this happen to me?" Or, "It was all going well, what the hell happened?" Or, "No, this just can’t be," the denial of it'
She added, 'Running away from it is not going to help you find your answers. So we’re facing it. And we’re dealing. And Dev and I are best friends. That’s never going to change.'
