Peter Andre is the latest star to be booted off Strictly Come Dancing

Peter Andre is the latest star to be booted off Strictly Come Dancing... after former contestant Jamelia claimed the show was FIXED to save him last week

Singer and TV star Peter Andre has become the ninth celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing.
The Mysterious Girl hitmaker and his partner Janette Manrara were kicked off the BBC show after losing the dance off against EastEnders' Kellie Bright and her partner Kevin Clifton.
The judges opted to save the actress, with Bruno Tonioli commenting: 'They both gave a very powerful and very entertaining performance but based on the dance I saw the one that I thought has more content and was technically more accurate was Kellie and Kevin.'

Darcey Bussell also opted for Kellie for her skill on the dance floor, adding that her routine was 'technically more assured performance and confidence'.
Talking to host Tess Daly about his time on the show, Andre said 'It's been nothing but joy.
'Like I said before, there is no shame in leaving, we are so grateful. I love everybody. Thank you.'
The singer's departure comes after he started off the series as the bookies' favourite to win.
He earned not one but two 10s for his Charleston earlier in the series, which head judge Len Goodman said was 'first class'.

During Saturday night's show Peter and Janette's American Smooth was given 31 points, putting them on the bottom of the leaderboard once again.
He also failed to impress in the Quickstepathon, finishing in last place and picking up only one extra point, taking his total to 32.
It comes just days after last week's ousted dancer, pop star Jamelia, hinted that the show was fixed.
She claimed that producers had orchestrated a standing ovation for the singer and that despite the fact she received higher marks than the singer over the weekend, she knew she would be the one to go.

She said that the father-of-three did not get the reaction viewers were shown when he faced her in the slightly pre-recorded dance-off on Sunday night. 'The honest thing is, he didn't,' she said. 'But on the show he did. I love Peter and he has tried so hard and he is a brilliant dancer, maybe the jive wasn't for him.
'I do think there has been a huge backlash, a lot of people on Twitter raving about him, saying he should go home. But Pete is not behind the decision-making process and I don't think he should bear the brunt of any of this.'
But Peter slammed her accusations as 'a load of rubbish'.

'I have never heard or seen anything of the sort. People who have good dances in rehearsals get good marks,' he told The Mirror. 'Take for example my Charleston dance a few weeks ago. I got two nines and two 10s, but then my jive was not so good.”
'Based on that particular night I wouldn’t have been surprised if I had gone. But then we did the dance off and it’s down to the judges. If Bruno or Craig think I did better then I’m through – and it ain’t over till the fat lady sings.'
Call The Midwife's Helen George is currently top of the leaderboard with 46 points, after scoring the maximum seven points for the Quickstepathon and impressing with her Viennese waltz.
Next weekend will see six couples competing in the quarter finals in a musicals-themed week.
Also left in competition are former The Wanted star Jay McGuiness, newsreader Katie Derham, Corrie star Georgia May Foote and TV presenter Anita Rani.
