Reese Witherspoon reveals her frustration at being offered 'terrible' role as 'girlfriend in a dumb comedy'... but just who was the Oscar winning actress who accepted it?

Reese Witherspoon says a bad experience in Hollywood led her to seek a bigger role behind the camera.
The 39-year-old told Entertainment Weekly that she was offered a terrible role four years ago as the girlfriend of a male star - a role being chased by fellow Oscar winning actresses.
She realized in that moment that she didn't want to be chasing 'awful roles' anymore.
Reese, however, also left a question hanging in the air - while never revealing the name of the film she added that two Oscar winners ended up doing it.

The actors and the film were not named by the blonde star, who won Best Actress at the Academy Awards in 2006 for Walk The Line and was nominated last year for Wild.
'About four years ago I got sent an awful, terrible script,' Reese told EW.
'And this male star was starring in it, and there was a girlfriend part. And I thought, “You’ve got to be kidding me. No, I’m not interested.” They said, “Well this actress is chasing it, that actress is chasing it: three Oscar winners and two huge box office leading ladies.”
