He's achieved the Impossible! James Arthur is crowned winner of the X Factor 2012

It's been too close to predict but on Sunday night's live X Factor show James Arthur was crowned winner of the X Factor 2012.
The former bedsit resident, 24, was speechless as he learned that he had gained more votes than runner up Jahmene Douglas.
He said: 'Thank you, thank you so much. Have I really won? Wow. I don't know what to say.'

Jahmene praised the winner and told Dermot: 'It's such a blessing to even share a stage with such a talent, he's my idol.'
James, who received 54 percent of the public vote, and Jahmene were seen locked in an emotional embrace as the result was revealed and it's clear the pair have bonded during their time together in this competition.
James was presented with his winner's single Shontelle's Impossible and it was explained that the profit from the single would be going to the Together For Short Lives charity.

He was still very much in shock but when asked what he thought about the charity, James said: 'I'm so pleased it's going to a good cause, thank you so much to everyone who voted for me - I'm so thankful.'
Dermot then asked if he could perform his new single one more time and James replied: 'I'll try'.
James' victory was watched by more than 10,000 fans at the Manchester Central venue and there were a number of familiar faces in the crowd.

Before the winner was announced both James and Jahmene performed two songs and the final of the series also included a whole host of incredible guest performances.
The former Asda worker took to the stage first to sing Robbie Williams' hit track Angels and his performance left the panel gushing.
Tulisa told him: 'I'm really happy you picked that song,' and said he sounded 'amazing'.

Louis Walsh said he wanted the former Asda worker to win the show and said: 'You are an incredible role model.
Before adding: 'I want him to win.'
Gary Barlow acknowledged Jahmene's tough past and said: 'You have been battling with your past and fighting for your future you have done it with such dignity and grace.'

He added: 'Congratulations another stunning night for you.'
Jahmene's mentor couldn't fight back the tears and was seen breaking down.
She told him: 'You just bring spirit and hope to this song when you sing I just feel safe. Your my role model you are like a beacon of light. I love you sweetie..'

James Arthur was next to take to the stage performing his version of Marvin Gaye's Let's Get it On.
During the track he was seen holding hands with Nicole and kissing Tulisa.
Louis told him: 'You're original, you are real, you are honest.'
Tulisa told him: 'We feel like we are at a James Arthur concert.'

She added: 'You deserve to win as an artist.'
Gary, who has backed James to win the show, said that James didn't need changing and he was 'ready right now'.
He told him: 'I'm ready to download your album right away.'

Nicole told him: 'I felt like I was seeing the future, like next year when you are on tour.'
She added that she was 'humbled' and 'so blessed' to have worked with him.
The boys also performed a second time to sing their winner's singles.

Jahmene was first, performing The Beatles classic Let It Be giving it his all.
The panel were clearly moved by the emotional performance with Louis telling him he has 'so much soul' while Gary described him as having 'an unbelievable voice'.
Tulisa told him: 'That was a jahmazing shasmoment'.

After performing the track Jahmene was shown footage of his family talking about him, which left him in tears.
His mother was seen saying: 'You have brought a lot of happiness to the family.'
Before adding: 'You're just an angel'.
James was seen singing Impossible by Shontelle as his winner's song.
Gary told him that he was so pleased with the way James hadn't changed throughout the competition.

He noted: 'Please take one bit of advice never let anybody tell you what to do. You know best.'
James was the first to admit that he had come so far from his bedsit thanks to the competition but Nicole reinforced this.
She told him: 'You better get ready your life is never going to be the same after this.'
The star-studded X Factor final saw plenty of quality acts take to the stage including former contestants One Direction.
They're back: Most of the contestants who appeared on the live shows returned to the stage for the final show. Lucy Spraggan and Christopher Maloney were no-shows
The boyband, who came third on the 2010 show, performed their new single Kiss You and told Dermot they understood what the finalists were going through.
Emile Sandé and Rihanna also took to the stage to perform at the Manchester Central arena.
Most of the finalists who made it through to the live shows were also present to perform All I Want Is Christmas.
Christopher Maloney who was kicked off the show on Saturday night was a no-show.

The 34-year-old singer is said to have riled bosses with his 'abusive' attitude towards his fellow contestants during rehearsals, before 'storming out' and returning to Liverpool.
An X Factor spokesperson told MailOnline: 'Chris decided he no longer wanted to be part of The X Factor Final and has gone back to Liverpool.'
The Liverpudlian wannabe was allegedly angered when he realised he had only been given one line in the group medley, and 'stormed off' to his nearby hotel.
