After falling off the radar for a few years former pop star and actress Samantha Mumba is set for the big time once again.
The Irish beauty has landed a $1 million deal to star in a big Hollywood film musical that is said to be as big as Les Miserables. 
The 30-year-old, who has been living in LA since she her fledgling singing career faltered in 2000, revealed to friends at a party last week that all her efforts and hard work have finally paid off.

The Gotta Tell You singer was at the launch party for dance artist Stacey Jackson's album, Live It Up, when she revealed to friends the good news.
A close friend said: 'She was absolutely thrilled that she had landed a lead role in a big budget Hollywood musical. 
'She had been sworn to secrecy over what the film was but said it was going to be as big budget as Les Miserables.
'After the success of Les Mis at the box office Hollywood producers have been keen to follow it up and plans for the next big musical production are set to include Samantha.'

The source continued: 'She has got the role and has signed contracts but has been told she has to wait for the film company to make the official announcement.
'Filming will start later this year for the multi million dollar film.'
The news was revealed at the party at Bardot nightclub in Los Angeles where Jackson performed her latest dance track Pointing Fingers which has gone into the top 10 dance charts in both USA and the UK.

The party was part of the annual Brit Week celebrations for British artists in Los Angeles and was originally set up by Pop Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe in 2007.
Actress Laura Carmichael was seen attending BritWeek on Friday as part of BritWeek Celebrates Downton Abbey at The Fairmont Miramar Hotel.
The 27-year-old Downton Abbey Star also answered questions from the audience as she took to the stage for an interview.
