However, on Saturday it was Will's turn to step out of the spotlight as wife Jada Pinkett Smith performed at the Afropunk Festival in Commodore Barry Park, New York
Jada, 41, took to the stage with her band Wicked Wisdom, as Will stayed in the backstage area.

Also cheering her on, were her two children Willow and Jaden Smith who blended in with the cool crowd.
An excited Jada tweeted before her performance: 'Showtime in 10 minutes!'
While after the band finished their set, she wrote: 'Thank you #APFEST13 for inviting #WickedWisdom to play & thank you Brooklyn for being such an amazing audience. Can't wait to do it again!'.

Meanwhile Will took some time out to greet fans at the festival, clearly overwhelmed by his appearance.
Will and Jada are both celebrating birthdays next month, with Will turning 45 and Jada turning 42.
Meanwhile, Willow and Jaden continue to become mini-superstars in their own right.
The Hello hitmaker and the Whip My Hair singer were two of the 150 guests at Kylie Jenner's Sweet 16 party at downtown L.A.'s AT&T Center last Saturday.
Jaden also made a poolside cameo in his little sister's music video Summer Fling, which premiered last month.

The Karate Kid star has yet to book another acting role since starring with his father in the critically-panned After Earth.
'Having two boys and a girl, I realise that boys take trouble to other people's houses, and girls bring it home,' Will told People magazine last year.
'So, the thing we are struggling with is the rules and setting fair rules for the boys and for Willow, but she's not having any of that.'

Jada will star in next year's drama La escribana de uraba and she'll reprise Gloria the Hippo for The Penguins of Madagascar in 2015.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Independence Day star will head to New Orleans in October to begin shooting the heist flick Focus.
The two-time Oscar nominee will then begin working on the Hurricane Katrina drama American Can.
The rapping funnyman will also appear in a modern-day Manhattan adaptation of Winter's Tale - due out February 14 - alongside Jennifer Connelly, Colin Farrell, and Russell Crowe.
