Britian’s Got Talent star Alexis Economou admits she tried to smuggle drugs in her bra because she was in love with jailed boyfriend
She wowed the nation when her girl band REAformed auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday night.
And now Alexis Economou has begged the nation to look past her drug smuggling shame so her band’s dream of superstardom won’t be affected by her previous mistakes.
The 21-year-old singer made the shocking revelation that she was once caught by prison guards as she attempted to smuggle cannabis to her jailed boyfriend.

Speaking to The Mirror's Emma Pryer, Alexis said: ‘“What I did was a really, really stupid thing.
‘I know it sounds bad but being arrested for drugs isn’t that unusual where I’m from.
She added: ‘I had no idea about other things he’d done. I was in love and I just wanted to help him.’
The BGT hopeful explained that she fell for Kayode Oshin, 21, in 2012 after being introduced by mutual friends.
She states that she didn't realise that he was embroiled in a violent gangland drugs war that saw him eventually go on to shoot at his rivals with a Mac-10 machine gun.
When Oshin was jailed for three-and-a-half years for drug offences a year later, Alexis stuck by him and paid him regular visits while he was behind bars.

And one visit he pleaded for her to sneak in some cannabis for him, which she agreed to do.
The singer explained that at the time she just want to help out the man she was in love with because she was not yet aware about the full extent of his offences.
On the day she attempted to smuggle the drugs to him, she claimed that her ‘heart was racing’ and she knew what she was about to do was wrong.
While guards did a body search, they did not immediately pick up on the drugs because she hid them in her bra.
But when she tried to hand the cannabis over to her beau, guards spotted their interaction and stopped Alexis when she tried to leave.
She immediately confessed what she had done and was taken to a nearby police station where she was formally charged.

Alexis said she promptly dumped Oshin and she was later given a three-and-a-half month suspended sentence and ordered to do 150 hours’ community service working in an Oxfam store.
But now Alexis wants to focus on the positives in her life after impressing judges on Britain’s Got Talent.
When group took to the stage in Saturday's show, they admitted they were most keen on impressing Alesha Dixon because they saw themselves as similar to Mis-Teeq, the group Alesha shot to fame with.
And they did just that as Alesha used her golden buzzed to put them through to the semi-finals.
