It's been four years since Cheryl Cole last visited her beloved North East in the hunt for the next X Factor star.
So no doubt, the Geordie singer was thrilled to be back in Gateshead on Thursday for the next round of talent show auditions.
Upon arrival at the Baltic Centre overlooking the River Tyne, Cheryl was given the loudest welcome of her fellow judges as she made her homecoming.

Wearing a Sixties-style white mini dress, Cheryl was soon presented with a Newcastle United football shirt, which has been customised with 'Miss Cheryl' written on the back.
    She completed her look with a pair of nude high heels, with her hair swept back into a loose updo.
    The former Girls Aloud singer was the last to arrive following her fellow X Factor judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Mel B.

    Of course, fans of the ITV show will remember Cheryl previously had a winner from the region - Joe McElderry from Gateshead, who won the show in 2009.
    During her three years as a judge, Cheryl won the series twice with her acts Joe and Alexandra Burke.
    However, her last year as a judge in 2010, she lost out to Dannii Minogue, who won with Matt Cardle.

    Meanwhile, it looked like fellow judge Mel B had also dressed to appease local football fans with her choice of Newcastle colours of black and white.
    The former Spice Girl showed off a hint of flesh in her black and white keyhole dress with asymmetrical hemline.
    New Xtra Factor presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford looked cute in a navy dress by Preen teamed with Kurt Geiger heels and completed the look with her signature dramatic make-up.

    As expected, music mogul Simon kept to his signature style of jeans and a white shirt, while Louis was evidently a bit smarter in a blazer and shirt.
    Thursday's auditions in Gateshead after the 5th round of live judges auditions so far for the 11th series.
    Auditions have already taken place over two days each in Manchester and London.
