The Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain is recording a special Radio 2 Christmas show from her home.
Nadiya's Festive Family Feast sees her and co-host Olly Smith create culinary treats for the whole family to enjoy, from salmon kedgeree to gingerbread cake.
The show will air on 21st December and will help listeners prepare recipes for their cooking duties on Christmas Day – which also happens to be Hussain’s birthday. To that end the pair will prepare a celebratory non-alcoholic punch for the whole family to enjoy.Nadiya says: “My birthday is on Christmas Day so it’s always a big day in my house as we usually all gather for a
huge feast. It’ll be great fun giving Radio 2 listeners lots of tips and recipes as they prepare for the festivities, plus I’m really looking forward to welcoming Olly to my home”.The show follows her decision to commit to the BBC following the news about its impending move to Channel 4.
As well as spots on The One Show and Loose Women, she has fronted her own BBC1 show, The Chronicles of Nadiya, in which she travelled to Bangladesh in order to explore her culinary roots.
