Girls' very own Belle de Jour: Allison Williams shows off her sexy side as she channels femme fatale Catherine Deneuve
Before HBO's hit show Girls, Allison Williams was best known for being NBC news anchor Brian Williams' daughter.
Now she's a star in her own right, posing on her first major magazine cover as a modern-day Catherine Deneuve in Belle de Jour.
In the latest issue of Page Six Magazine, the 24-year-old actress talks about the sexuality explicit show that turned her into a household name, walking the red carpet like princess, and growing up with a famous father.

Girls is not without its shocking moments, onscreen nudity, and incredibly intimate masturbation scenes - for which Miss Williams acted as her character Marnie. So how does she feel about her family watching the sexuality explicit show?
She told Page Six: 'My grandparents loved it - my grandfather’s about to turn 90, so he can’t be shocked anymore!
'My grandmother feels bad for all of us,' she added, referring to the goings-on of her generation and the characters on the show.
When it comes to what turns her on in real life, she admits its not dissimilar to when her character on the show was propositioned explicitly by a stranger on the High-Line in New York.

Sultry and seductive: It was Miss Williams' sultry remix of the Mad Men theme song, set to Nat King Cole lyrics, which earned the actress her first major role as Marnie, the uptight Brooklynite on Girls
'I think it’s less the words, but that sort of bravado, that kind of audacity required to say some-thing like that to someone you just met,' she said.

She refutes these accusations, saying: 'When someone said my dad was Brian Williams, Lena pictured Dan Rather for, like, months.

'[And] Lena thought Zosia Mamet’s name was pronounced Zo-sigh-ah Mah-met; she thought she was like a French-Canadian actress.
'It’s a fact that we all have parents that are relatively notable. But it’s merely a coincidence—we’re also all women.'
Since becoming part of the Girls cast, Miss Williams has taken to her red carpet fashion duties with aplomb, and admits she loves to play dress-up.

'I think the prettiest I’ve ever felt to this day was when I was in pre-K and my grandmother made me a Belle costume out of gold fabric,' she explained.
'I’m still a child at heart when it comes to playing dress-up, so the idea of putting on a costume and feeling like a lady or a princess or a cat or anything is something that never stops being appealing to me.'
