Strictly judge Darcey Bussell gets her chance to dress up for glamorous photo shoot

Her time to shine: Strictly judge Darcey Bussell gets her chance to dress up for glamorous photo shoot...as she admits that she would prefer her role to be more 'hands-on'

Stuck behind the judges desk, she hasn't had much of a chance to show off her glamorous side.
But Strictly Come Dancing judge Darcey Bussell, who has admitted to finding her desk role 'frustrating', has been transformed into a snow queen for a show-stopping new photoshoot for Hello! Magazine.
Looking elegant in an ethereal silver dress, the retired ballerina seemed happy to have her turn in the style spotlight, after weeks of the focus being on the contestants, admitting that she wants to be a more 'hand-on' judge.

Wearing a flowing, chiffon gown, embellished with silver sequins, the dancer certainly made an impact, proving that she could be just as glamorous as the celebrity contestants and professional dancers on the show.
While the other judges seem happy with their comfortable positions behind the desk, critiquing each performance week on week, Darcey told the magazine that she would prefer to be able to give advice in a different way.
'There is so much I can say from my own experience,' she said.

'But it's being able to get it out quick and sharp. I would do it in a much friendlier, hands-on sort of way, so it's very odd sitting behind a desk.'

Although the 43-year-old has found working on the show 'fabulous', she would clearly prefer to give the contestants the benefit of her experience in a different way.
Despite being a world-renowned star, Darcey admitted that she was nervous about her role on the show:

'It's very daunting. I've been on stage and done lots of live shows, but I've never had to open my mouth,' she said.
The judge also revealed that she's yet to sign up for another series of the show, but would love to do so, despite the fact that the fourth judging spot hasn't been occupied by the same person for very long.
While her professional dancing days might be behind her, Darcey has become popular on the show for her honest and constructive comments.
