Flower power! Thandie Newton flashes her taut tummy in daring floral dress at New York premiere of mini-series The Slap

She is, without question, a natural beauty.
And, to prove it, celebrated screen star Thandie Newton flaunted her impressive figure at the launch of new US mini-series The Slap on Monday.
The actress turned countless heads as she navigated the red carpet at Manhattan's New Museum, where she courted the press with typical style.

Despite New York's freezing temperatures, Thandie braved a bold, floral, sleeveless dress which displayed her fun sense of style in a cut-out in front providing glimpses of her toned tummy.
She matched the look with some white shoes and some simple earrings.
Meanwhile, her hair was left in a relaxed style which capped the look with a casual touch.

Clearly the sartorially adventurous, she out-dressed her fellow female co-stars Melissa George and Uma Thurman.
Perth-born George, who has appeared in films such as Mulholland Drive and The Amityville Horror sported a clean style choice in the form of a pleated white dress complete with crisp, high-necked shirt collar.
Conversely, Uma donned a plain, black - and rather shapeless - ensemble. The Pulp Fiction star added only the faintest smear of natural shadow to her eyelids and blush to her pale, porcelain smooth cheeks.

Representing the men, actors Peter Sarsgaard, Zachary Qunito and Owen Tanzer also attended looking dapper.
Makenzie Leigh chose comfort above all else, wearing wide-legged navy trousers and a matching top featuring one beige stripe.
The new NBC miniseries, which premieres on Thursday, focuses on a misbehaving boy, the indulgent parents who spoil him and a single relative who is so mortified by the child's unruliness that he 'slaps' his face at a barbeque in Brooklyn. A family argument ensues.

The episode begs the question: was that slap justified?
'It's so dramatic of an issue that it needs to be dealt with, and you see that as you watch the show,' Thandie Newton told USA Today. She plays a character who witnesses the exchange.
'This show is about something you see every day: an act of violence against a child. It's something the public can really mull over. You'll think and think and think about it.'
The Slap, which will be shown in eight parts, is based on the Australian series of the same name.
