But that's the risk Alina Peralta took when she asked her close pal Eva Longoria to be her bridesmaid.
Although she undoubtedly had no intention of stealing anyone’s moment in the spotlight, the Desperate Housewives actress looked stunning as she strolled through the streets of Cordoba, Spain, for the nuptials on Friday.

Strutting along in a mint green strapless dress featuring a shimmering stone embellished waist belt, the actress simply dazzled.
However, rather bizarrely, Eva was noticeably missing her shoes as she waltzed past onlookers completely barefoot.

Unlike another fellow bridesmaid who had teamed her dress with a pair of silver stiletto heels, the US star appeared to have ditched her heels somewhere along her travels.
Fortunately, despite appearing to have misplaced her shoes, Eva still seemed to be having a great time at the wedding as she partied with the other guests.
Keen to share the big day with her loyal Instagram followers, the actress decided to post a couple of pictures onto the social networking site.
In the first snap, she can be seen smiling while holding onto a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a bridesmaid sitting on either side.
She captioned the photo: 'Bridesmaids already taking a break! #Córdoba #Alina&Manuel #Family #Blessed.'
