Olympia Valance showcases 'womanly curves' in classic 1980s lace lingerie (that was also modelled by Emma Willis)

Haven't we seen those undies before? Olympia Valance showcases 'womanly curves' in classic 1980s lace lingerie (that was also modelled by Emma Willis)

  • Holly Valance's sister models retro style being re-released
  • Emma Willis posed in the full-cup bras and big knickers in the 1990s
  • Slogan in the 1980s said the underwear 'makes men faint'
Olympia Valance is starring in a sultry ad campaign for Gossard modelling a classic underwear set that was first released in the Eighties with the slogan that it 'makes men faint'.
The style, which was also revived in the Nineties when it was modelled by The Voice presenter Emma Willis, has been tweaked for contemporary audiences and is being sold with the new logo that it's 'not for the faint-hearted'.
And the high-waisted knickers and full-cup bra style have met the approval of 22-year-old Olympia's boyfriend Greg Cannell, who says covering up leaves more to the imagination.

A new campaign fronted by Aussie actress Olympia Valance, sister of Holly, will appear on screens
Gypsy was popular in the 1980s and 90s, and now the brand announce that the retro design is heading back into shops in black, nude caramel and a bright fuchsia pink, and a new campaign fronted by Aussie actress Olympia Valance, sister of Holly, will appear on screens
Olympia told MailOnline: 'My boyfriend says retro lingerie leaves more to the imagination - and that's sexier than anything.'
In the new series of images for the Gypsy range, the stunning Neighbours star - sister of Holly - is seen reclining on a deep wine red leather sofa in a blush lace underwear set.
Unlike many of today's styles, the Gypsy lingerie features the thick straps, full cups and high waists that were popular in the Eighties.
However, it doesn't sound like Greg needs any more persuading of his girlfriend's merits. The pair from Melbourne, who have been dating for 11 months, are smitten, and Olympia told FEMAIL that is he is 'the one', and, 'it was literally love at first sight'.
As for showing off the lacy looks, she said: 'Wearing lingerie makes me embrace my womanly curves.
'I've had an amazing reaction from fans. It's so good to hear from girls who say I've made a difference to their own body confidence, as it's such an important issue to me.'

When the original range came out in the 1980s, the television advert featured a handsome man looking hot and bothered in a doctor's surgery, having apparently got there because he fainted after seeing a woman wearing the Gypsy bra and knickers.
The style experienced a revival in the Nineties when Big Brother host Emma Willis even modelled a cream version, with the signature big pants.
Now the brand is reintroducing the vintage design in black, nude caramel and a bright fuchsia pink, while Olympia will star in a new TV campaign.

She said: 'The bohemian trend is everywhere at the moment and the whole look and feel of that free spirited Gypsy fashion is right up my alley.'
'It was fun to shoot this range as we got to play around with different looks and play to my Mediterranean influences.
'I love that the campaigns we do together are subtle and fashion led without that 'over the top sexy' that's unattainable; Gypsy in particular is all about letting your hair down and having fun which I hope comes across!'
She has said: 'You haven't seen yourself at your most confident and beautiful until you've taken off your clothes and put on a set of incredibly beautiful lingerie.
'[I've been] transformed from someone who once disliked their curves into someone who embraces them and the body they're given.
'Everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their skin. I've never owned my body more than I do now and I have Gossard to thank for that.'
Aside from a few more revealing pieces the range shows a bit more material can be even sexier, and Olympia's boyfriend agrees
