Making a musical splash! Charlotte Church releases new video submerged in water as she says she would rather poke her eyes out with sticks than join the X Factor

Charlotte Church has made it clear that she will not be joining the X Factor panel, now or ever.
The 27-year-old Welsh singer has said she would rather poke her eyes out 'with sticks' than appear on Simon Cowell's show.
Charlotte tweeted that she had been approached by the show but would not consider acting as a judge on it.

On Thursday night she wrote: 'I got asked to do the X factor job. I'd rather poke my eyes out with sticks than be a part of the machine that kills music.'
Her outburst came just a day before she released the video to her new song Water Tower, which sees her partially submerged in a lake.
The track begins with Charlotte singing: 'I am water tower, heavy is my head. When the land around is dying, I will keep your fields fed.'

The music begins quite mellow and Charlotte is seen wearing a hooded top and emerging from the water.
As the tension mounts the Welsh singer is seen thrashing around in the water, while two men splash her.
Charlotte's latest track is from her third LP entitled THREE, which is due for release on August 19.

The former classical singer had been hotly tipped for a role on the X Factor show after Louis Walsh revealed that the current series, his tenth, would be his last.
Take That star Gary Barlow's place on the show following the 2013 series is also in doubt.
A source from The X Factor told BBC's Newsbeat: 'We did have an initial meeting with Charlotte but she wasn't offered a role on the panel as we didn't feel [it] was right for the show.'
