It was a night celebrating the best of British music.
And singer Adele certainly led the talent as she performed during The X Factor final results show on Sunday night.
Showing off her new bob hairstyle, the 27-year-old singer/songwriter took to the stage to sing her track Hello, which was first teased in a 30-second snippet during an X Factor advert break earlier this year.

The vocalist performed a pitch-perfect rendition of the number one track, which is taken from her record-breaking album 25 (released last month).Adele looked absolutely beautiful in a full-length, black sparkling gown, which added a dose of A-list glamour. 
Aside from her dazzling gown, she revealed her new blonde bob, which perfectly framed her facial features.

After her performance, she cackled and told the audience: 'That was amazing! I've honestly been waiting half my life to be here. I'm so excited to be here. I wanted to burst out laughing the whole laugh.'
She added: 'You feel so close. I couldn't do that again, I couldn't look [the judges] in the eyes.'
Asked about her favourite, she responded: 'Lauren was my favourite, when she said she couldn't afford to buy new knickers. I thought she was great.'

And her advice for the contestants was as follows: 'Obviously the judges are very important, but always trust your own instinct.'
The London-born star previously admitted that she'd perform with an X Factor finalist provided they weren't 'rubbish'.
She told Kiss FM: 'It would have to depend on who’s in the final. It depends who’s in it. If they’re rubbish, then no, I won’t.   
'There was Ella Henderson [who finished sixth in the 2012 series], I used to like. But she didn’t make it at the time. I mean, I was pregnant so I wouldn’t have done it.
