She looks anything but glamorous in her role as Rey in the highly-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
But Daisy Ridley proved life certainly doesn't imitate art as she put on an alluring display at the movie's photocall in Tokyo, Japan on Friday.
Joined by her co-star John Boyega and director J.J. Abrams, the 23-year-old actress showed off her shapely legs in a chic floral dress.

The rising star opted for a feminine and flirty look as she paraded her pins in the short design which was adorned in a myriad of floral patterns.
For that extra touch of pizzazz, the intricately designed dress also boasted a woven motif around the bust and glistening sequins around the hem and neckline. 
Not afraid to clash prints, she teamed the look with striped black and cream stilettos which featured pretty dainty ankle straps.

Daisy is fast becoming a red carpet favourite, having wowed countless times while hot on the promotional trail of her upcoming sci-fi. 
The actress was unarguably the stand-out star at a fan event held in Japan earlier this week, as she amped up the glamour in gorgeous monochrome separates.
Before landing the role of Rey, following an intense five-audition process, Daisy had appeared in numerous British TV shows including ITV's Mr Selfridge, Silent Witness and Casualty but the upcoming release marks her first major film role.

However, her nerves almost got the better of on the first day of shooting and she reminisced about her big moment in the spotlight in an interview with Glamour magazine, earlier in the year.
She said: 'He (Abrams) probably doesn’t remember telling me that my performance was wooden. This was my first day! And I honestly wanted to die. I thought I was gonna cry, I couldn’t breathe.'
Such is the demand for the film, fans have already started camping out in Hollywood more than a week ahead of its release.
Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens is scheduled for general release in the UK on December 17
