Strictly Come Dancing scoreboard : Craig gives Lisa Riley a glowing review


'You can dance!' Craig Revel Horwood gives Lisa Riley a glowing review as she picks up her partner and the highest score of the weekend on Strictly Come Dancing 


There's little doubt that many Strictly fans weren't expecting much from Lisa Riley on the dance floor. 
But the former Emmerdale star wowed fans with her fancy footwork picking up her partner Robin Windsor and the highest score of the weekend - a massive 30 out of 40. 
The 36-year-old actress impressed the judging panel with Craig Revel Horwood telling her: 'Three words darling, you can dance!'

After such a glowing review Lisa ran up to the notoriously hard to please judge and planted a kiss on him. 
It wasn't just Craig who was impressed with her Cha Cha moves to Think by Aretha Franklin, the other judges offered her equally high praise. 
Len Wiseman noted: 'You're a funky monkey I'm telling you.'

He added: 'You were like a fizzy bottle of cola.'
Len did admit that her performance wasn't precise but noted: 'Whatever lacked technically was made up for in energy and enthusiasm.'
New judge Darcey Bussell tole her: 'I love someone who can take risks, that was an amazing end.'

Craig and Darcey awarded eight points each while both Len and Bruno Tolioli both gave seven points taking the couple's total to 30. 
Lisa clearly couldn't believe it and was heard saying: 'Madness, madness.'
Before Lisa stormed the stage Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh was sitting pretty at the top of the leader board with a score of 28 after earning herself a full round of seven points from each judge.

The singer, who had been visited by her band mate Nicola Roberts during rehearsals, showed off her skills with the Cha Cha performed to Jessie J's Domino.
It seemed to be a great night for soap stars as Sid Owen managed to score 26 points with his Waltz with partner Ola.
Bruno told him:' You created the mood so well, your frame you held it through,' before adding: 'this was very very good '.

Craig noted: 'Great movement around the floor.'
Len joked: 'You scrub up well, you have gone from Albert Square to Berkley Square.'
While Victoria Pendleton found herself at the bottom on Friday night's show her fellow Team GB star fared much better. 
Silver medallist Louis Smith showed off his gymnastic skills and gained 27 points in the process.

Darcey appeared to be quite taken with the athlete and told him: 'You have worked hard on that hip action.'
Johnny Ball who had been forced to change partners after his original dancer Aliona Vilani, broke her ankle during training.
Iveta Lukosiute stepped in at the last minute and the pair performed the Cha Cha Cha to Drive My Car By The Beatles.

Craig critised the veteran presenter for miming all the way through and said he would have liked to see 'more fluidity'.
But despite Len telling him it was like 'The Last Of The Summer Wine' Johnny managed to drum up 17 points - more than Victoria Pendleton earned the night before. 
Former Tracy Beaker star Dani Harmer wore a pink ballgown for her waltz with dancer Vincent Simone. 
It prompted a mixed response - with Darcey saying, ' I was impressed with your travelling dance is about creating an illusion.'
Horwood remarked: 'You need to lengthen your line by pushing your shoulders down; - while Len Goodman added: 'The spins when you were on your own were a bit wobbly, but I loved it.'
They were marked 21 points.

Richard Arnold's Waltz mostly disappointed the judges, with Horwood revealing that he thought his 'transitions were a little lumpy'.
Len said, 'There were moments when it could have been better.'
Bruno remarked: 'It was a bit boring, your personality didn’t shine through. It looked like you were on valium.'

Lacklustre: Jerry Hall only received a disappointing mark of 18
Jerry Hall only received a disappointing  mark of 18 for her Cha Cha. 
Partnering with Anton DuBeke, she was slated for her lack of dancing on the show.
Horwood remarked: 'You’ve certainly taken minimal to a whole new level darling. An awful lot of wriggling about, I thought.'
Burcell agreed, adding: 'You have the ability. Dance more. Get her to work harder on those steps.'
