The engagement is no doubt a silver lining for Ronnie who has had a difficult year after making the decision to quit the game.
At the time his manager said he was taking a break from the sport as he was suffering from health and personal problems.
Since then Ronnie has revealed that he has been spending his time labouring on a farm for free.
Speaking about his new role, he said: ‘I have been doing about three days a week and really enjoying it.
‘It has been kind of the complete opposite to what I was going through the last couple of years in snooker.’
