A visit from the boss: Coronation Street's Sue Nicholls drops in on Samia Ghadie at Dancing On Ice rehearsals

After finding herself in the skate-off last weekend Samia Ghadie was in need of a moral boost this week.
With a tough few days of training keeping her down the actress's spirits were lifted on Friday with a visit from her boss.
The Coronation Street star was delighted to see Sue Nicholls at the ice rink as the two friends caught up.

Sue, 69, plays Samia's onscreen employer Audrey Roberts, and the old friends were delighted to see each other.
Samia was visibly shocked to see Sue and screamed with joy when she saw the veteran actress standing on the side of the rink.
After exchanging pleasantries Ghadie showed off her battle scars from all the times she has fallen over so far to Sue.

The Corrie star looked flabbergasted as Samia rolled up her leggings and displayed her many cuts and bruises.
Sue's visit to the rink was particularly poignant as Samia has been preparing for props week on Dancing On Ice by taking inspiration from her onscreen soap persona.
Samia, who plays hairdresser Maria Connor in Corrie, is using her experience from the programme's salon to bring her dance to life.

The mother-of-one and her ice skating partner Sylvain Longchambon used a table complete with hairspray, hairdryer and some professional looking equipment.
With their scene setting props in the background the chair on wheels took centre stage as Samia showed Sue her routine and was slung around the ice by hunky Sylvain.
The actress put her theatrical skills to good use as she pulled some dramatic poses and facial expressions around the rink.
After working up a sweat on the ice Sue and Samia recreated their onscreen partnership and treated Sylvain to a backcomb.
