Celebrity tattoo artist Kevin Paul examined the pictures of Cheryl's new piece and told Mail Online: 'The tattoo that Cheryl Cole has is large so this would take around 10 hours give or take. The cost would vary depending on the tattoo artist but the ball park figure would be approximately £100 an hour.
'This is a very painful area so would take two to three sittings - even if you do have a high pain threshold. It looks like there may still be some areas to be finished on her tattoo so it could be that she is in between sittings.'
He added: 'This tattoo is a coverup - they have covered her old tattoo - this is quite tricky to do and tends to take longer.'
