'She had a good run': It's been revealed that Tulisa's set to be axed from The X Factor
Taking one for the team: After a disappointing ninth series apparently Simon Cowell received 'pressure' from ITV to shake things up
According to The Sun, Cowell is set to give Tulisa the chop following 'pressure' from ITV to get the talent show back on a winning streak.
Show insiders also revealed that Simon had to 'fight' to keep long time friend and veteran judge Louis Walsh on the panel as he was also up to receive the boot.
Listing Contostavlos' poor album sales as another reason the star is no longer right for the role as a mentor, the inside source said she's 'had a good run'.
Giving The Female Boss gets the boot: Another reason said to be behind Tulisa's axe is her poor album sales
How it was: Tulisa became the first mentor on The X Factor to win the show with girl group Little Mix in 2011
A source told the paper: 'Apart from her performance on last year’s show, you can’t have a singer whose album only reached No35 in the charts sitting in judgment on other singers.
Continuing the informer added: 'Tulisa has been on the panel for two years. She had a good run, but all good things come to an end.'
Commenting on Tulisa's behalf a spokesperson said: 'No decisions on this year's judging panel have been made yet and this is pure speculation.'
Fighting for his friends: Cowell is keeping veteran judge Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne might return
Apparently both Rita Ora and Sharon Osbourne are hotly tipped to fill Tulisa's spot on the panel.
Chart-topper Ora was a guest judge on the ninth series while Sharon is no stranger to the format of the competition as she was a mentor from 2004 until 2007.
However the reports that Tulisa may not be returning come as her father hinted that she was already planning to give up her seat on the judging panel.
Planning to move on... Tulisa's father hinted that the N-Dubz star only does the talent show for the money
The N-Dubz star’s father Plato spoke to Now magazine at the end of last year claiming that she ‘only does it for the money.’
He said: ‘Tulisa doesn't want to be there. She's bored of it. She doesn't need The X Factor, she's got N-Dubz.
‘I want her to leave X Factor. N-Dubz can do one gig and earn up to £500,000. I want her to make some serious dosh, millions, by doing an independent album with N-Dubz.’
He added: ‘What I want for her is security, so she never has to rely on anybody apart from herself.’
Robbie Williams became the latest celebrity in a host of names who could be joining the X Factor in series ten.
The Spice Girls' Mel B was also rumoured to be in the running for a job on the ITV show up until Wednesday when MailOnline exclusively revealed she's set to replace Sharon Osbourne on America's Got Talent.
