But Catherine Tyldesley underwent a transformation of epic proportions as she well and truly became the belle of the ball on Tuesday night.
The 30-year-old actress looked worlds away from Weatherfield as she turned on the glamour in a daring semi-sheer cutout gown at the Christie Charity Ball at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester.

Turning from bolshie barmaid to prom princess, the soap beauty - who plays Eva Price in the ITV1 show - looked utterly incredible as she showcased her envy-inducing curves in her brave choice of outfit.
In addition to featuring sexy sheer panels at the side, the elegant dress included a flattering backless design, which Catherine made sure to showcase as she turned around to pose for photographs.
The blonde star teamed her glamorous gown with dazzling diamond drop earrings and a slick of pillar-box red lipstick as she strutted her stuff on the red carpet.

Looking utterly preened to perfection, Catherine completed her look by adding some Beauty Works hair extensions to create a cascade of tumbling curls which exuded movie star glamour, while toting a black beaded clutch bag.
And it would seem the actress felt every inch the belle of the ball for her swanky outing.
Writing on her Twitter page before heading out on the town, she said: 'Wearing gorgeous @Boodles diamonds tonight #feellikeaprincess #luckylady :-) @ArmandBeasley.'

While Catherine is now in possession of positively envy-inducing curves, she was once a size 22 and weighed in at 15 stone.
But after shedding four-and-a-half stone thanks to adhering to a lifestyle overhaul and healthy eating plan with the help of her personal trainer ex-boyfriend Sam Witter, she is now a svelte size 10.
She recently said of her image transformation: 'I’m happy where my body is now, I’m never going to be, or want to be, skinny.

Also in attendance at the Christie Charity Ball on Tuesday night were Catherine's Corrie co-star Debbie Rush, boxer Ricky Hatton, former politician Jeffrey Archer and singer Rowetta.
