She’s back in London while she shoots scenes for her forthcoming movie debut.
But while Leona Lewis’ decision to venture close to her East London roots was met with enthusiasm, the mumsy attire she sported on the exterior set got a decidedly mixed response.
The 28-year-old songstress has been hard at work filming scenes for Holiday!, an eighties inspired musical featuring an array of well-known tracks from the likes of Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Wham!

Shooting has already taken place in picturesque locations around Italy, but Leona was clearly delighted to be in chillier climes on Tuesday when she stepped out on in East London.
The former X Factor winner features in what amounts to her acting debut, but one can only hope the shapeless ‘Mom’ jeans she sported between takes were a character choice, rather than a concerted fashion statement.
Indeed, the stonewash denims, with their high waistline and unremarkable cut did little to accentuate her stunning figure.

Leona’s valiant attempt to pull the look off was hampered by her untidy turn-ups, while the rips on either leg appeared to fall some way short of their aim to give the jeans an added edge.
The singer teamed her dodgy denims with a cropped lace cardigan, beneath which a baby pink vest was evident as she slipped into a long coat while an assistant dutifully held her umbrella.
It was a look that echoed the decade that brought us dry ice and bleached denim, one of many Leona has been having fun with since filming began.

The new movie – directed by StreetDance pair Max & Dania – tells the story of Maddie, played by Hannah Arterton, who is set to marry Raf, Giulio Berruti, after a whirlwind romance in Italy.
Posting on Twitter, Leona shared her delight at being back in the UK with her 1,156,217 followers on Tuesday.
'Just got to set in London! Amazing and weird at the same time, being able to shoot some of my first 'movie in my my home town WOOOO!’ she tweeted.
Holiday! will also star British hip-hop group Rizzle Kicks' Harley Alexander Sule, Doug Allen, David Essex, Barrington Patterson (One Eyed-Baz) and Vas Blackwood.
