She might be a busy and successful Hollywood actress but selfless Vanessa Hudgens still finds time to do the things that are important to her.
The Gimme Shelter star clearly cares a lot about the environment and has become the latest celebrity to pose for a 'Project Mermaids' photo shoot which works to save beaches around the world.
The 24-year-old looked stunning in a shell bra-top and a slinky mermaid's tail. She wore shells and netting in her hair as she posed on a beach in Southern California.

On the project's official website, they write: 'Our goal is to show how precious our ocean and beaches are and how well people can function in and around it, photographing models and celebrities in the water, in and around the ocean, wearing mermaid tails.'
The photos were taken by photographers Angelina Venturella and Chiara Salomoni, with the help from The Mertailor Eric.
Vanessa's also been making time for her 22-year-old boyfriend, Austin Butler, who she maintains a long-distance relationship with and on Saturday, they were pictured running errands together.

The loved-up couple picked up some boxes from UPS and they stopped at a pharmacy in New York City. Vanessa wore a green coat, scarf and a furry hat and she wore brown-fringed ankle boots.
Her beau wrapped up warm in black skinny jeans, black ankle boots, a charcoal grey black overcoat, scarf and a knitted brown hat.
It's unclear what the boxes were for but perhaps the couple are planning a move? Still, Austin proved he's quite the gent when he carried multiple boxes whereas Vanessa could only manage one.

Austin, who will play Sebastian Kydd in TV series, The Carrie Diaries, seems to have a lot in common with the High School Musical star.
They both grew up as home-schooled child actors and they have both recorded music. Vanessa released solo album, V back in 2006 and Austin released Life I Love You, Not, back in 2009.
The music-lover also collects guitars and plays piano while Vanessa released the dubstep single $$$ex with girl-group YLA back in May.

Vanessa's next role will see her play a homeless pregnant teen in upcoming movie, Gimme Shelter, alongside Brendan Fraser and Rosario Dawson. It's slated for release on January 24th.
She will also star in next year's horror-comedy, Kitchen Sink, alongside Bob Odenkirk, Joan Cusack, Ed Westwick, and Patton Oswalt.
Austin, meanwhile, continues to film the 13-episode second season of The Carrie Diaries.
