The ultimate birthday gift! Victoria Beckham cosies up to shirtless husband David as she celebrates her 40th birthday at luxury Grand Canyon resort
She’s been peppering her social media platforms with childhood snapshots as she continues to celebrate her 40th birthday with husband David Beckham and their four children at an exotic desert location.
Returning to Twitter on Thursday evening, Victoria Beckham posted a loving, self-taken shot in which she reclines with a shirtless Becks during their current break on a luxury resort in southern Utah, close to the Grand Canyon in neighbouring Arizona.
With her husband’s prodigious tattoos on full display, the fashion designer – who sports a casual Adidas baseball cap – looks understandably content as she nestles into his naked chest.
An accompanying message reads; ‘Having a wonderful day with my family x vb.’

The day itself included a brisk walk around the Canyon, during which she posted another shot for her huge following in which she takes in the breath-taking view while resting on a large rock.
The scenery had clearly worked its wonders on Victoria, who tweeted: ‘Magical day hiking in the Grand Canyon with my babies x vb.’
In a reflective mood for much of the day, the former Spice Girl posted a string of flashback shots from her childhood – amongst them a photo with brother Christian and sister Louise, with the message: ‘To my little brother and sister, I love u both from the bottom of my heart, lots of kisses, your big sister x Victoria x.’

The entire family are thought to be accompanied by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay – a close friend of the Beckham’s – and his brood for the trip to Utah.
A source told The Sun: ‘Victoria wanted family time so it has been kept very intimate and low key. Their lives are 100 miles an hour so she wanted to be away from the limelight and city life as they have that all the time.
'She loves being active outdoors too, again something they can’t do together very often. There were strict instructions for no-one to get hassled by work so somewhere like Utah where there’s ample space is perfect. They are staying at an exclusive resort there.’

However, former footballer’s Beckham’s time in Utah is said to be brief as he is committed to promotional work for Jaguar.
Earlier that day Victoria posted a racy shot from her exotic holiday locaton, she’s also been moved to reflect on her childhood, in which she sports a negligée while basking in the sun.
Victoria, who owns a property in Southern California with husband David and their four children, stands in front of a desert terrain peppered with brush, while distant mountains provide a dramatic backdrop.

A source told E! News: 'Victoria is spending her birthday today quietly with her family. They have travelled out of state to somewhere quiet and relaxing and are enjoying a spa vacation.'
But while the snap remains rooted in the present, Victoria has also been sharing other intimate shots from the past.
The former singer, who grew up in leafy Hertfordshire village Goffs Oak, has shared a series of personal snaps with her 7.44 million followers – amongst them a grainy image of herself as baby, appearing to have a snooze while lying on a white blanket.
A second shot sees infant Victoria perched on father Anthony’s shoulders during a trip to the zoo – and the electrician appears to look rather smart in shades and a wide collared shirt, de rigueur in the mid-seventies.

Appearing to acknowledge her father’s trendy appearance the former Spice Girl wrote: ‘Me and my dad. How cool is he!!! I love u daddy x vb.’
A third and final shot on Victoria’s Twitter account captures her as a baby, wallowing in a sink filled with frothy water.
The star also posted a video of Alice in Wonderland blowing out the candles on a cake to her Instagram account, writing: 'Good morning LA, it's my birthday!!!! x vb.'
After being inundated with messages from her fans, the fashion designer posted another animated video of Snoopy doing a cheerful dance.

It seems as if Victoria is feeling a little nostalgic and wanted to pay tribute to her mother, Jackie Adams, on her big day.
Posting a grainy image of her mum to her Twitter account, Victoria can be seen as an adorable little baby wrapped up in a white blanket.

According to The Mirror, Victoria is planning on celebrating her big day with a low-key dinner, organised by hairdresser Ken Paves and actress Eva Longoria.
The paper reports that Victoria's parents will fly over for the meal and Gordon and Tana Ramsay will also join them.

'Posh' has enjoyed global fame as a member of The Spice Girls, as well as a solo music career, before reinventing herself as a critically-acclaimed fashion designer.
But she recently told People magazine that above all, being a mum is her most celebrated achievement.
She told the publication: 'My proudest achievements are my four children,' she says. 'I am inspired by my children, travel and working mothers.'
