Naomi Campbell and Elizabeth Hurley lead the fash pack in stunning black gowns at launch of V&As Italian glamour exhibition
A-listers turned up in their droves on Tuesday night to celebrate the launch of the latest fashion exhibition at London's Victoria & Albert Museum with a private dinner.
The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014 is the first major exhibition on the evolution of Italian fashion and is set to be quite the spectacle.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell and actress Elizabeth Hurley turned heads when they attended the swanky bash both wearing striking black Roberto Cavalli gowns.

High spirits: Naomi looked lovely in the beaded creation
Wow thing: The feathers on Naomi's dress made quite the impact as she sashayed into the venue
Naomi's black beaded number stood out for it's array of red feathers which adorned the bottom section of her dress.
As she walked up the red carpet to head into the venue, the feathered sections gave way a little to show her fans a glimpse of her famous legs.
She was in good company with her sartorial style though, as Elizabeth Hurley dared to bare just a little in her cut-out long black gown which gave a glimpse of her slim tummy.
Quick peck: The supermodel gave Irish milliner Philip Treacy a kiss as they made their way inside the venue
Fashion buddies: The friends cosied up as they posed for photos
Working it: Elizabeth looked stunning in her cut-out creation which also had a revealing back detail
Gym bunny: Elizabeth showed off her incredibly toned tummy in the tight number
She's got the look: Hurley topped off the look with a furry stole as well as a metallic clutch bag
The halter-neck number had sequin embellishments surrounding the top section of the dress which she accessorised with a silver clutch bag and matching diamond earrings.
Giving photographers a cheeky glance over her shoulder, Hurley displayed her flawless back as the low-cut dress had revealing crossover straps.
Naomi and Elizabeth were not the only stars to show their support at the event.
All-white: Rita Ora appeared to have dyed her hair a lighter hue at the prestigious do
Pretty in purple: Pregnant supermodel Erin O'Connor covered up her bump in a smock dress
Tribal design: Poppy Delevingne looked striking in her embroidered monochrome dress
What a gent: Model David Gandy looked smart in his well-cut suit
Pregnant supermodel Erin O'Connor covered her bump in a purple smock-style dress which she teamed with a snakeskin clutch bag and metallic gold heels.
She was joined by socialite Poppy Delevingne who won fashion points for her monochrome gown which had purple and pink embroidery throughout the front panel.
TV presenter Trinny Woodall bucked the trend in a taupe silk dress which she cinched in with a matching belt and platform heels.
Eco-fashion designer Livia Firth also chose a black gown for her big moment
Daring choice: Nancy Dell-Olio showed off her legs in this black mini and knee-high boots combo
Cool cucumber: Nancy looked happy and confident as she made her way to the private dinner
Loved-up: Tamara Beckwith posed on the arm of her husband Giorgio Veroni
Bucking the trend: Trinny Woodall opted for a taupe billowing dress (left) while Tamara Beckwith (right) settled for a multi-coloured lace creation
Bloomin' lovely: Camilla Al Fayed wowed in a floral print skirt on the night
Unfortunately, Nancy Dell'Olio's fashion choice was slightly off the mark as she opted for a black mini dress which she wore with knee-high boots.
Pop singer Rita Ora also looked a little eccentric with her hair dyed white and a cream fringed embellished dress.
No doubt the exhibition itself is set to garner just as much attention as the guest's outfits.
Golden girl: Model Eva Herzigova looked Hollywood ready in her lace midi dress
Big names: (L-R) Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman, Valentino Garavani, Guest and Giancarlo Giammetti attended
They know style: Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana looked smart in suits as they arrived with a guest
All stars: Dress designer Roland Mouret arrived with model Tallulah Harlech
So chic: Elizabeth McGovern in a tailored black suit while Trinny Woodall makes a rare appearance without Charles Saatchi
It will cover post-war dressmakers to the remarkable fashion empires like Prada, Giorgio Armani and Dolce & Gabbana that dominate the catwalk today.
To illustrate how up-to-the-minute this exhibition will be, it will display spring-summer 2014 looks from the collections of Miu Miu, Antonio Marras and Fausto Puglisi.
There will also be a couture evening gown and menswear from recent Valentino collections and will open this spring, from April 5 to July 27.
