Bit Shayk-y on the staircase! Embarrassed Irina reveals she tripped over her dress and fell down the stairs at Buckingham Palace

With her model figure, flawless complexion and effortlessly cool demeanour, it's hard to believe she could ever put a step out of place.

But Irina Shayk has revealed she did just that when she visited Buckingham Palace during a trip to London back in May.

The 29-year-old girlfriend of Bradley Cooper, 40, had been invited along to the Palace as a special guest when she took an embarrassing tumble.

Reminiscing about her encounter with Prince Charles at New York Fashion Week on Wednesday, she told People magazine: 'Oh, it was amazing.

'The funny part was, I was walking up the stairs [and] I had on this beautiful, pink, pale Versace gown and really high heels, and, [the heel] just caught on the back of my dress!

'As I was walking up to Buckingham Palace… I tripped and fell down the stairs! Thank God no one saw it!' she added.

The night in question Irina looked stunning in a plunging pale pink gown, which also featured a daring slit to her thigh.

She wore her hair in an elegant updo and opted for a pair of strappy sandals to complete the feminine and flirty look.

Irina is fresh back from her weekend at the beach in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where she spent time with Bradley and his mum.

After gallivanting across the globe together on luxurious holidays, the actor clearly felt it was time to take their relationship to the next level as he introduced his new flame to his mother, Gloria Campano, on Saturday.

And the American Sniper actor couldn't wipe the smile from his face as he spent the day with his two favourite women.

Bradley and Irina's relationship reportedly began after they struck up a bond at the Met Gala after-party in May, two months after his split from British model Suki Waterhouse, 23.

The Hangover actor ended his long-distance relationship with Suki earlier this year, though their break-up was not confirmed by either party when it was first reported in March 2015.

Meanwhile Shayk's long-term relationship with footballer Cristiano Ronaldo saw its curtain call at the end of 2014.

At the time of the breakup, Shayk hinted that Ronaldo made her feel 'ugly and insecure'.

In an interview, Irina told Spain's Hola magazine: 'I thought I had once found the ideal man but it didn't turn out that way.

'I think a woman feels ugly when she's got the wrong man at her side. I've felt ugly and insecure.'

She added: 'My ideal man is faithful, honest and a gentleman who knows how to treat women. I don't believe in men who make us feel unhappy, because they're boys not men.'
