The 25-year-old singer, who won the Critics choice award just last year, is in the running for Best Female, Best Album and has two tracks in the Best Single category.
Speaking at the launch on Thursday night Emeli told MailOnline: 'So many things happened this year but the Olympics were amazing and the album being a best seller was obviously great. But getting married was my personal highlight.'

Mumford & Sons and Alt-J received three nominations each with Muse, Plan B, Jessie Ware, Ben Howard, Coldplay, and Olly Murs all up for two awards.
Paloma Faith and Rita Ora, who also received two nods appeared to be celebrating with their dress sense and the pair were both seen wearing champagne-coloured gowns at the launch of the nominations held at the Savoy hotel on Thursday night.
Paloma, 27, wore a figure-caressing backless satin dress by Vivienne Westwood, with a feathered headpiece ensuring she made a dramatic entrance at the event.

The daring dress left her detailed body art on show, several bird etchings were visible across her back.
Paloma has found herself in the running for the big award of the ceremony - Best Album, for her second album Fall From Grace.
The beauty is up against Emeli Sande's Our Version Of Events, Alt-J's An Awesome Wave, the Mumford release Babel and Plan B's Ill Manors.
Paloma told MailOnline she was 'ecstatic' to be nominated for the gong but doesn't back herself to actually pick up the award.
She said: 'I feel ecstatic to be nominated, it's amazing. But I really don't think I'll win. I kind of hope I don't in a way so then I don't have to prepare a winner's speech. I'm going to practice a really overjoyed face for when someone else wins!'
Rita, 22, also opted for a yellow-beige sequin-embellished gown, with a plunging neckline by Diane Von Furstenberg which she teamed with nude Christian Louboutin pointed heels.
The R.I.P singer told MailOnline having three nominations, including two for best song is 'amazing'.

'It's been a long journey to get here and a lot of hard work.'
Paloma added: 'I'd love to see Led Zeppelin win the lifetime achievement award.'

Four nods: Emeli Sande beamed at the event, after learning she had scooped four nominations in three categories
Songbird Delilah stepped out in a Les Chiffoniers leather glove dress and white shoes by Bernard Chandran.
Chichester born singer-songwriter Tom Odell was been named as the winner of the Critics Choice award and was handed the Damien Hirst-designed statue by former winner Sande.
The 23-year-old said he didn't want to think about being as successful as he predecessors.
Leather lovely: Delilah opted for a fierce long-sleeved leather dress and a pair of unusual shoes
He said: 'I can't even look that far forward but I just hope people keep enjoying my music. It would be amazing.'
The best male shortlist sees Richard Hawley go up against Murs, Calvin Harris, Plan B and Ben Howard.
Mumford And Sons will line up against Alt-J again for best British group, with The xx and Muse. Pop act One Direction - who will be performing on the night when the awards take place on February 20 - complete the category after a year which has seen them conquer the US.
Coldplay, Mumford And Sons, Muse and The Vaccines are the bands who will challenge the Stones - who performed two UK shows at London's O2 Arena to mark their 50th anniversary last year - for the best live act title. The prize is making a comeback after being rested since 2009.
Flower power: Jessie Ware wore a black dress with two white floral motifs
Stones frontman Mick Jagger welcomed the nomination and said: 'We all had such a blast, everyone was at the top of their game, and the hometown audiences at the O2 were just fantastic. It's great to be nominated.'
Guitarist Keith Richards said: 'On stage is where we belong. When I'm up there with Mick, Charlie and Ronnie, everything is rocking.'
Adele, a double winner last year who was famously cut off by host James Corden as she launched into her climactic acceptance speech, is among the acts who compete for best single, with her Oscar-nominated Bond single Skyfall. Others in the category include Jessie J for Domino and X Factor winner James Arthur with his chart-topping single Impossible.
Rihanna leads the field in the shortlist for international female act and stands a chance of becoming the first person to win the prize in three consecutive years. She is against Alicia Keys, Cat Power, Lana Del Rey and Taylor Swift, which raises the prospect that Swift may attend the event and bump into her One Direction star ex, Harry Styles.

Amy Winehouse could take a posthumous Brit Award after she was shortlisted for best British female against acts such as Emeli Sande tonight.
The late star - who died 17 months ago - previously took the title in 2007 on the back of her massive Back To Black album.
Winehouse, who was eligible as a result of the release of her Lioness: Hidden Treasures album, is thought to be the first nominee to be included posthumously. Although Freddie Mercury won a Brit in 1992, a little over two months after his death, that was an honorary award for his outstanding contribution to music.
Other performers who will play at the ceremony - officially called the Brit Awards 2013 with MasterCard - next month at the O2 will include Muse, Robbie Williams, Mumford And Sons, Sande and Howard, with further names to be announced.
The outstanding contribution prize is being dropped this year, with organisers instead introducing a prize honouring Brits' global success, which is expected to go to Adele, although One Direction and Mumford are thought to be in the running.
A special recognition prize will be presented to the charity Warchild.
