Jennifer Lawrence wins TWO Best Actress gongs as Silver Linings Playbook tops Critics' Choice Awards with four trophies
By IONA KIRBY
The 22-year-old was named Best Actress in two separate categories for two different roles – winning Best Actress in an Action Movie for The Hunger Games and Best Actress in a Comedy for Silver Linings Playbook.
After the Hunger Games nod Jennifer joked that 'all the sweat was worth it', but then delivered a touching speech about working on Silver Linings Playbook, claiming that 'movies changed my life.'

Twice as nice: Jennifer Lawrence was named both Best Actress in an Action Movie and Best Actress in a Comedy at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards on Thursday
On top: Silver Linings Playbook took home the most awards of the evening with four gongs
She said to Bradley Cooper: 'The first time we did a scene together you took my breath away, and the first time I watched the movie you broke my heart and put it back together again.'
No doubt the entire cast and crew would have been raising a glass after the ceremony, which was held at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, as the movie came out on top with four awards.
Bradley Cooper took home Best Actor in a Comedy, calling Jennifer Lawrence 'something else' in his speech, and the film also won Best Acting Ensemble and Best Comedy.
His leading lady: Bradley Cooper led Jennifer onstage as their movie was named Best Comedy
Great chemistry: Jennifer told Bradley he took her breath away during her heartfelt speech
All jokes aside: Jennifer, who often makes light of the industry, admitted that movies have changed her life
It's an honour: Bradley Cooper was named Best Actor in a Comedy for the film, which also took home Best Acting Ensemble
So much to celebrate: No doubt (L-R) Chris Tucker, David O Russell, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert DeNiro and Bradley Cooper would have raised a toast to their success

However while it swept the board in the comedy categories, Silver Linings Playbook missed out on Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Picture awards.
It was Jessica Chastain who took home the Best Actress gong for Zero Dark Thirty, which also won Best Editing.
Daniel Day-Lewis won Best Actor for his role in Lincoln, and the movie also took home gongs for Best Score and Best Adapted Screenplay.
Emotional roller coaster: Anne Hathaway joked around after winning Best Supporting Actress but then grew tearful
'I don't mean to be gauche': Anne said her name was spelled wrong on the trophy she was given
Close co-stars: Anne was presented the award by Eddie Redmayne, who also appeared in Les Miserables with her
Such a strong bond: Anne thanked 'leader' Hugh Jackman in her speech, who then wrapped her in a huge bear hug
Ever so grateful: When she was announced as the winner Anne blew kisses to her co-stars
Ben Affleck may have been snubbed by the Academy Awards but he was praised by film critics as he was awarded the Best Director trophy for Argo, and joked about the irony.
'I'd like to thank the Academy,' he said to giggled from the crowd. 'Just kidding. This is the one that counts.'
And the movie also won the most coveted award of the evening in the form of Best Picture.
Girl power: Jessica Chastain couldn't contain her delight after she was named Best Actress for Zero Dark Thirty
She's a natural: Jessica said it was her first time talking at 'one of these things' and admitted that she loved it
Cuddling up: After her win Jessica posed backstage with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who had presented her with the award
Still great friends: Jessica took the time to catch up with Octavia Spencer who she starred with in The Help
Jumping for joy: A very happy Daniel Day-Lewis was given the award for Best Actor thanks to his role in Lincoln
Anne Hathaway was rewarded for her role in Les Misérables as she won Best Supporting Actress, and started her speech humorously but later grew emotional.
‘This is a bittersweet moment for me because I have this award but you spelled my name wrong,’ she said to raucous laughter. ‘Sorry, I don’t mean to be gauche.’
The star then thanked her co-stars, and said: ‘I want to give special thanks to Hugh Jackman who is our leader,’ before praising ‘tireless captain’ Russell Crowe.
A very nice surprise: Ben may have been snubbed by the Oscars but the critics dubbed him Best Actor for Argo
Getting some recognition: The movie was also named Best Picture, which was the most coveted award of the evening
A pat on the back... and the chest: Ben and George Clooney looked pleased as punch to win Best Picture
We did it!: Ben and George's jaws dropped to the floor when the Best Picture gong was awarded to their movie
Goofing around: At one point during the evening Ben was seen appearing to feed Bradley Cooper
Southern gentleman: Matthew McConaughey had the honour of presenting the Best Picture award to the Argo team
It was the only award the film took home during the evening.
Another big winner was Skyfall, which won Best Action Movie, Best Actor in an Action Movie and Best Song.
Life of Pi won Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects, while Anna Karenina took home Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design and Best Make-up was won by Cloud Atlas.
What a cutie: Academy Award nominee Quvenzhane Wallis, nine, made a sweet speech after she was named Best Young Actor/Actress

Fantastic result: Rich Moore accepted Wreck-It Ralph's award (L) while Skyfall took home three awards, and Gary Barber (R) accepted the Best Action Movie gong
An adorable Quvenzhané Walli, who today became the youngest actor to be nominated for a Best Actress Oscar, skipped onstage when she was named Best Young Actor/Actress for her role in Beasts of the Southern Wild.
The Master and Django Unchained took home one award each, for Best Supporting Actor and Best Original Screenplay respectively.
Meanwhile Looper was named Best Sci Fi/Horror movie, and Wreck-It Ralph received Best Animated Feature.
We did it!: Emily Blunt and Joseph Gordon-Levitt couldn't stop smiling when Looper was named Best Sci Fi/Horror Movie
It takes two: Joseph excitedly grabbed Emily's hand and they hurried up to accept their award
Lovebirds: Emily sat on husband John Krasinski's lap during one part of the evening
A chance to catch up: Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt chatted away and at one point shared a hug
Great friends: Christian Bale and wife Sibi Blazic were seen chatting away to Matthew McConaughey
Vampires and superheroes: Nina Dobrev and Henry Cavill joined forces to present during the ceremony
The Best Foreign Language Film title went to French movie Amour, and Best Documentary Feature was awarded to Searching for Sugar Man.
After being introduced by Rebel Wilson, funnyman Judd Apatow was presented with the Genius Award and had the audience in stitches.
Pointing the stars out in the audience, he said: ‘Spielberg, you did not win tonight. Tommy Lee Jones, you lost. Tom Hooper, stop sulking. Ang Lee, you have another year... Is Daniel Day-Lewis here? There he is. I beat you, too.’
Beary good friends: Even Ted was at the ceremony, swigging a martini and at one point chatting to Jon Lovitz
It takes two: Rob Riggle and Famke Jannsen also acted as presenters and paired up together
The cat that got the cream: Eva Longoria looked happy that she got to take the stage with hunky Paul Wesley
