Julianne Hough rips her designer dress after cavorting too much at Golden Globes

'I think I may have danced too hard': Julianne Hough rips her designer dress after cavorting too much at Golden Globes

She's a professional dancer so Julianne Hough, of course, couldn't wait to show off her moves at the Golden Globes after party on Sunday night.
But it seems she's a bit too used to flexing to her max in more suitable clothing.
The pretty 24-year-old ended up showing off her steps on the dance floor more enthusiastically than she had anticipated.

And as a result Hough ended up ripping her designer dress all the way up to her crutch.
But rather than be devastated that she'd ruined not only her look but the expensive frock she'd worn on the red carpet, Julianne instead poked fun at herself.
She even shared the mishap with her online fans, posing in a series of humorous pictures displaying the faux pas.

In one picture a friend stands next to her animatedly placing her hand over her mouth in shock as Julianne pulls a face, while in another she points at her bare legs, now visible through the newly created splits up each side of the gown.
She writes: 'Ummm I think I may have danced too hard.... Eeek!!!!'
Hough then added: 'Ummm again... I love to dance regardless of how expensive a dress may be... You can't hold me down!!! :).'

And even her brother, fellow Dancing With The Stars professional Derek Hough, joined in by poking fun at her.
He retweeted one of the photos showing her pale pink frock ripped to shreds, writing next to it: 'And After ... Ha ha . What can you do when your a dancer ?'
To which Julianne replied: 'Dancing the night away!!!'

Clearly having let her hair well and truly down, Hough was seen throughout the evening looking in good spirits as she mingled with the rest of the A list stars.
She originally showed up on the red carpet looking immaculate in a different get-up complete with earrings made from real insects.
The stunning actress accessorised her gown with real red beetles.
'We created this with [jewelry designer] Daniela Villegas,' Hough told E! News, saying 'It's an actual pair of beetle and actual stick bugs.'
Julianne arrived in a stunning white Monique Lhullier gown with Jerome C. Rousseau heels.

She completed her arrival outfit with a metallic Ferragamo clutch and jewellery from Daniella Villegas.
The dancer expertly posed for the cameras while cuddling up to boyfriend Ryan Seacrest, who looked dapper in a suit.
Not content with having just one designer gown for the evening, she then changed into her pale pink satin number for the after parties in the evening.

Again she showed up looking immaculate as she made her way around the different events, posing up with her brother once inside the InStyle and Warner Bros. bash before heading to the Harvey Weinstein event later on.
It was there that she decided to twirl around a bit too enthusiastically and make the worst wardrobe malfunction of the night.
But at least she took it in good humour.
