Cat Deeley shimmers in metallic gown and shows off new blonder hairdo at Costume Designers Guild Awards

Golden girl! Cat Deeley shimmers in metallic gown and shows off new blonder hairdo at Costume Designers Guild Awards

She was seen leaving a hair salon with wet hair a few days earlier, but now Cat Deeley showed the glowing results of that makeover on Tuesday night at the Costume Designers Guild Awards.
The TV presenter's new white gold highlights shone bright, as did her metallic Monique Lhuillier evening gown worn to the event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday night.
Cat's trademark poker straight style made her new colour stand out from the Art Deco sequined detail of her dress, and she threw on her trademark Cheshire cat grin to radiant effect.

The 36-year old attended the awards show without her husband Patrick Kielty, but there were more than enough A-list guests for Cat to pally up to.
And there was one white haired gentleman in particular the Brummy girl was rather enamoured with.
Tweeting from the event, Cat shared a picture of Steve Martin on stage with the caption: 'Steve Martin..... Comedy god amongst men'.

Later, she met her hero before presenting an award herself, and described what meeting the new father was like: 'Me "Hello" Steve Martin "Hello" Me "would you like some water" Steve Martin "Yes please... How nice of you" (Bashful nirvana ) (sic)'
It must have left quite an impression for Cat then couldn't get a funny moment from one of Steve's most famous films out of her head: 'Over excited.... Just can't stop thinking about hot dog buns- father of the bride (sic)'
The CDG's 15th annual awards benefited from the attendance of Kristen Wiig, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Westfeldt, Randy Newman, Meredith Monroe, Roma Maffia, Madeleine Stowe, Christa B. Miller, Connor Paolo, Jamie Bamber and Masi Oka.
