Gemma Arterton vamps up her daytime look in skin tight leather trousers... before Byzantium promo kicks off

Still in character? Gemma Arterton vamps up her daytime look in skintight leather trousers... before Byzantium promo kicks off

She stars as a racy vampire in her new thriller Byzantium.
And it seems that Gemma Arterton has been taking style tips from her character as she stepped out in London wearing a pair of skintight leather trousers on Wednesday.
Looking edgy for her daytime stroll, the 27-year-old added a pair of matching black shiny shoes and a fitted black blazer jacket as she breezed through town.

The rising star, who's been spending a lot of her time in Hollywood recently, smiled to herself as she wandered on her own through the streets.
Having clearly put a lot of effort into her daytime look, the former Bond girl certainly stood out, and didn't seem to care who spotted her.
Gemma, who is about to start promoting the new vampire film, paired the trousers with a loose-fitting tan t-shirt and the long blazer.

She wore a huge brown leather bag slung across her shoulder and held it tightly to her across the front of her body.
In keeping with her usual style, Gemma wore her dark hair tied up in a messy bun on top of her head, sicking with her usual laid-back look.
She opted for minimal make-up, wearing just a touch of eyeliner and lipgloss but leaving the emphasis on her naturally flawless completion.

The star, who has reportedly split from husband in the last few months, also kept her jewellery simple, deciding against a necklace and wearing just a plain black watch and small rings on one hand.
Gemma is about to start the promo tour for her new Gothic thriller, in which she plays vampire Clara who is mother to Eleanor - played by Saoirse Ronan.
Costume designer Consolata Boyle doesn't disappoint with her array of corseted dresses and lingerie that showcase the vampire mother's journey through time but still referring to her historic beginnings in the 19th Century.

From Neil Jordan - the director who brought Anne Rice's novel Interview With A Vampire to life in 1994 - Byzantium is expected in UK cinemas on May 31st.
It has just been announced that Gemma will star alongside Tom Hiddlestone in a forthcoming Robert Capa biopic, in which she'll play Gerda Taro.
