But not for Jada Pinkett Smith.
The 41-year-old slipped into a white bikini while vacationing with daughter Willow Smith in Hawaii on Saturday.

The incredibly fit actress clearly had nothing to hide.
With her hair long and wavy and her face makeup-free, the Madagascar star looked as if she were meant to spend her days as a beach babe.
Her white triangle top exposed her toned shoulders and super-trim waist.

Willow Smith is an ace on a surfboard.
The pre-teen showed off some of her cool moves as she cruised the waves while on vacation with her mother Jada Pinkett Smith on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai.
With her techno purple-grey hair slicked back, 12-year-old Willow was no fish out of water as she manuvered her green board with the rolling waves.

Willow obviously has done this before and stayed balanced on her bare feet with arms extended wide.
She was wearing a cute black two-piece suit with white strings and a big smile as she made her grand finish in the choppy whitewater.

Mother and daughter are enjoying a few days soaking up the sun on the Pacific island, having a fun and sharing some laughs while Will and Jaden are busy doing promotional work for their film After Earth.
Willow and Jada seem to be enjoying have been almost inseparable, surfing, swimming and hiking.
On the next day, Willow donned a black swimsuit and took to the waves again with her lucky surfboard, gaining confidence with every hour.

Willow wore an intense expression as she crouched down a little on the board with arms wide in serious surfer stance.
While 41-year-old Jada sunned on the beach with friends, Willow preferred to spend most of her time perfecting her surfing skills.

Earlier in the week, the mother-daughter duo were spotted enjoying an invigorating hike along the Kalalau Trail that runs 11 strenuous miles and overlooks the gorgeous coastline.
Willow sported her comely butch-cut greyish hair and wore shorts, white cotton T-shirt and blue trainers, as well as a grey sweat jacket tied around her middle.
Long-haired Jada stayed cool in black athletic shorts, teal-green top and lime-green trainers.

The two get along so well and were seen at one point strolling arm-in-arm with heads together.
'We don't do punishment,' he revealed.
'Our concept is, as young as possible, give them as much control over their lives as possible and the concept of punishment, our experience has been—it has a little too much of a negative quality.'

Willow was initially cast to play Annie in Big Willie's planned remake, but later dropped out due to her busy Whip My Hair tour.
In February, Beasts Of The Southern Wild star Quvenzhane Wallis was cast in her place.
