Of veteran Panorama reporter John Ware’s two daughters, singer-songwriter Jessie and actress Hannah, it’s Brit-award nominee Jessie who’s the UK star.
But across the Atlantic, they’re raving about elder sister Hannah, 30, who stars opposite Kelsey Grammer in political drama Boss.
The series won Grammer a Best Actor Golden Globe for his portrayal of Chicago mayor Tom Kane, who is hiding a degenerative brain disorder. Hannah plays Emma, his wayward daughter with a few secrets of her own.
With her standout looks, Hannah seems more suited to a cosmetics ad than a gritty drama – and indeed that was the way she was headed when, aged 12, she was the youngest girl to be signed by Storm model agency, gracing teen mag covers and appearing in ads for the likes of Clearasil.
She continued with her studies and won a place at London’s The Bartlett school to study architecture, but acting beckoned. Roles in Shame with Michael Fassbender and Cop Out with Bruce Willis followed.
Now with Boss about to hit TV screens here, her profile is set to rival her sister’s as our spies, who are glued to the show, say it’s better than Homeland.
Fast fact In 2010 Hannah married skateboarder Jesse Jenkins. He’d just split from Fearne Cotton and, when the marriage ended after 11 days, he got back with the DJ. Fearne is now with another Jesse (Wood, son of Ronnie). Keep up!
