Marlon Dingle will find himself face to face with escaped murderer Cameron Murray in terrifying new Emmerdale scenes to be aired next week.
New images released by the ITV soap see Marlon, played by Mark Charnock, in a shocking confrontation with a shotgun-wielding Cameron.
With serial killer Cameron already the murderer of three Dales residents, viewers will soon find out whether Marlon can escape the his clutches unscathed.

Marlon and Cameron’s tense encounter will be seen by Emmerdale fans in the October 16 episode but producers have teased the big moment by releasing a series of images.
Bartender and chef Marlon is seen looking shocked as he’s confronted by killer Cameron, played by Dominic Power, in the Woolpack during the episode's opening scenes.
Cameron, brandishing a shotgun, is on a mission to find his ex fiancée Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) but in his bid to hunt her down, the killer is disturbed by Marlon in the pub.

The bartender is immediately hit in the stomach by Cameron before being pushed down the cellar stairs.
    Viewers will see Marlon left unconscious with a head wound as Cameron, who has already killed Carl King, Alex Moss and Gennie Sharma, makes a dash for it into the bar.

    The drama doesn’t end there though as the episode will then see Cameron take former girlfriends Debbie and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) hostage in the pub along with other Woolpack regulars.
    While Debbie tries to reason with an unhinged Cameron, Chas hits him with a chair in an attempt to take the gun from him - but not before he manages to shoot one of the village's residents.
    Speaking about his character’s terrifying encounter, actor Mark Charnock reveals to the Radio Times that ‘Marlon's feeling absolute abject horror.’

    ‘He locks the back doors of the Woolpack because Cameron’s on the loose. He has a light conversation with Chas about them being safe rather than sorry. Then he goes into the Woolpack back corridor and Cameron is there’. 
    ‘His throat tightens, he can’t even shout out and before he knows it he’s been hit in the stomach and across the face with the butt of the gun and he’s fallen down the cellar steps, unconscious. Faced with the abyss, both literal and metaphorical.’

    Charley Webb, who’s character has been in an on off relationship with ultimate bad boy Cameron, also opens up about shooting the hostage scenes:
    ‘Debbie can’t believe what’s happening. Cameron absolutely terrifies her and she doesn’t recognise what he’s become,’ Charley tells Soaplife.

    ‘He wants her to leave the village with him’, she adds of Cameron’s dangerous intentions. ‘He really thinks that if he explains everything to her, they can run away together. It’s sad because she looks at him and sees the man she loves, but he has turned into a monster.’

    The scenes will be shown on Emmerdale on October 16.
