Jennifer Lawrence reveals Hunger Games: Catching Fire will switch to IMAX when Katniss enters arena... as new footage is released  


And the filmmakers have made sure to up the drama when the tournament begins. 
In a new featurette for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the 23-year-old actress reveals the movie will enter full-screen IMAX format as the character enters the arena.

In the new video, released by Lionsgate on Wednesday, Jennifer is seen in an ascending elevator that will take her to the arena, where past winners of the game will fight to the death.
'That is such an incredible moment to choose to go into IMAx, when she's coming up out of this 'cause she's kind of seeing this new world,' says Jennifer during the featurette.
She sports a sophisticated look in the interview, wearing a sheer black blouse and her short blonde hair tousled.

The featurette also includes never-been-seen footage from the highly-anticipated film.
The video opens with sweeping shots of the city, before Donald Sutherland's character President Snow is seen addressing the public.
The contestants are then shown training in a workout area, looking fierce. 
'I want you to forget everything you think you know about the games,' Woody Harrelson's character Haymitch is heard saying to Katniss. 'Last year was child's play.'

Katniss is then seen spinning onstage, her skirt on fire.
'She's not who they think she is,' says President Snow. 'She has to be eliminated.
In the next scene, Katniss is in an elevator as it rises towards the arena as she looks to the sky with a terrified look on her face. 
'Remember who the real enemy is,' a voiceover is heard saying.

The trilogy follows Katniss in a dystopian future in which children between the ages of 12 and 18 must take part in a fight to the death in the televised Hunger Games.
In the sequel to the 2012 hit The Hunger Games, Katniss squares off with past winners of the sick annual competition, which pits teenagers from each of the twelve districts of post-apocalyptic Panem in a televised battle to the death.
Catching Fire will be released in the US on November 22.
The first Hunger Games movie made almost $1 billion.
